About this project

What does Mod Recipe Book add?

A progression-based recipe book with items from mods. Discover items, unlock recipes, and learn mods as you play.

Designed for modpacks: create custom categories from any combination of mods, optionally include Minecraft, hide the vanilla recipe book, and choose whether recipes unlock after discovering one ingredient or all ingredients.

Recipe layouts come from JEI.

Features

  • Own recipe book button on inventory, crafting table, furnaces, and the brewing stand
  • Recipes unlock when you find items. By default a recipe unlocks only after you have found every ingredient. Finding an item also unlocks recipes that craft that item.
  • Recipes unlock when you know the crafting method. By default a recipe unlocks only after you found a crafting method (crafting table, furnace, etc).
  • You can customize how new recipes unlock
  • All Recipes tab plus custom categories — choose which mods appear in each category
  • Potion recipes supported
  • Fluids recipes supported (not shown in book, but available in recipe layout)
  • Left click a recipe to place it in the grid, left click + shift to place maximum, right click to open the item recipes layout
  • When the vanilla book is disabled, vanilla recipes appear in All Recipes

Requirements

  • NeoForge
  • JEI
