About this project
What does Char's Bunnies add?
Char's Bunnies is a Mo Creature-inspired mod that adds cute rabbits and includes complex genetics/breeding.
You can start by finding and taming wild European Rabbits, then breed them to eventually get different domestic breeds like Netherland Dwarfs, Dwarf Hotots, Dutch Rabbits, Himalayans, Polish Bunnies, Giant Papillons, and more. Rabbits can also come in different colors, sizes, and variations, so there are a lot of different ones to collect.
There’s also a Rabbit Encyclopedia you can use in-game to look through the different breeds, coat colors, weight ranges, and how to obtain them.
Some of the main features right now are custom rabbit breeds, wild European Rabbits, taming, breeding progression, different coat colors and sizes, baby rabbits that grow up, rabbit personalities and animations, and the Rabbit Encyclopedia.
The mod is still in beta, so I’m still adding more breeds, colors, genetics, and other features over time. There will be around 30+ different rabbit breeds once I'm finished with the mod. I'll also be releasing this mod on different versions once it's complete. All of the models and textures are made entirely by me.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
(I recommend using the mod JEI to learn how to craft certain items)
Feed a rabbit a carrot to tame it.
If you'd like to breed two rabbits, you can feed both rabbits either a carrot, dandelion, or golden carrot. Leave them in an enclosed area for 5-10 minutes.
Right-click empty-handed on baby rabbits to name them. You can also feed baby rabbits wheat so they'll grow faster.
If you right-click on a rabbit with the bunny encyclopedia, you can see all of their info. Such as their breed, weight, color variant, and personality. When you skip to the next page, you will see their family tree.
Right-click a bunny with a piece of paper to rename them.
Use the adoption certificate to rehome an unwanted bunny.
The rabbit encyclopedia that spawns in will explain how to obtain certain rabbit breeds. Keep in mind that some aren't naturally obtainable yet (like the Holland Lop) because my mod is still in its beta version.
Any suggestions are welcome! I have a lot of other features planned, such as rabbit bonding, achievements, and eye genetics.
