About this project

What does Econssential add?

Econssential

There weren't any economy mods that met my standards, so I built my own for my server. This mod covers everything I needed, an auction house, sign shops, player trading, and more. Feel free to use it on your own servers too.

Economy
A full player money system with balance tracking, money transfers, offline pay support, and money requests with clickable Accept/Deny prompts in chat.

Auction House
A GUI-based marketplace where players can list, browse, search, and purchase items. Sellers get notified when their item sells even if they're offline. Admins have full control over listings, price limits, and item blacklists.

Sign Shops
Chest-linked sign shops that let players or admins set up persistent buy/sell points in the world. Supports bulk trading, owner protection, and both player-funded and server-funded shop types.

Place a sign on or adjacent to a chest with this format:

[buy] or [sell]
<quantity>
<price>
<item name>

For server shops that create or void money instead of pulling from a chest, use [server-buy] or [server-sell] on line 1. Right-click to trade one unit, shift-right-click to bulk trade.

Player Trading
A real-time GUI trade system between two online players. Both sides confirm before anything changes hands.

Commands

/bal - Check your balance

/baltop - View the server money leaderboard

/pay <player> <amount> - Send money to a player (works while they're offline)

/request <player> <amount> - Request money from a player with a clickable Accept/Deny

/ah - Open the auction house

/ah sell <price> - List the item in your hand on the auction house

/ah search <query> - Search active listings by item name

/trade <player> - Open a real-time trade with another player

/ah admin - Admin controls for managing listings, price limits, and blacklisted items
