About this project

What does FantasyPower add?

FANTASYPOWER

Your actions shape your growth. Your choices shape your power.

FantasyPower turns the way you play Minecraft into character progression.

As you grow, you unlock abilities that introduce new mechanics—not merely passive bonuses or larger numbers.

Mining, fighting, farming, exploring, gathering and caring for animals each develop their own field of experience.

There is no fixed class or single correct path. Become a trained warrior, a treasure-hunting miner, a seasoned explorer, a master of powerful companions—or combine different paths to create a build of your own.

POWER SHOULD FEEL EARNED

Progress happens naturally through ordinary gameplay rather than a separate grinding routine.

Your choices matter: even an experienced character cannot master everything. Specialize, plan your build and decide which abilities are worth pursuing. There is no rigid talent tree—if you meet an ability’s requirements, the choice is yours.

MORE THAN SMALL STAT BONUSES

NOT JUST BIGGER NUMBERS!

FantasyPower’s abilities are not simple attribute increases. They introduce new mechanics, interactions and tactical choices that change what you can do—and how you approach familiar situations.

A skill might give you a charged attack that rewards careful timing, let you mark an enemy and exploit its weakness, create a shield that reacts to incoming damage, rescue you from a fatal mistake, empower a companion, or automatically collect and route selected items.

These abilities do not simply make existing actions stronger. They create new ways to fight, explore, gather, survive and prepare.

Many abilities can also be upgraded, allowing you to deepen the mechanics that best fit your playstyle.

ABILITIES YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE

Abilities feature distinctive pixel-style particles, animations, sounds, shields, wounds, shockwaves, portals, equipment and custom models.

Inspired by the bold presentation of Minecraft Dungeons, these effects are designed to make important moments clear, satisfying and memorable without overwhelming the screen.

SOLO AND MULTIPLAYER

FantasyPower works in solo survival, but specialization becomes especially meaningful in multiplayer.

Players can develop different roles—combat specialist, explorer, resource expert, farmer, companion trainer or utility support—without being locked into rigid professions.

Your identity is shaped by the abilities you choose.

FOR MODPACK AUTHORS

FantasyPower can be used as a standalone progression system or configured for larger modpacks.

Data packs can override:

  • Experience sources and level progression
  • Ability values, costs and cooldowns
  • Probabilities and effect ranges
  • Level and cross-category requirements

Additional options include a global experience multiplier, configurable progression loss on death, administrative commands and built-in definition validation.

Data packs can rebalance existing abilities. Adding entirely new functional abilities currently requires code support.

DEVELOPMENT NOTICE

FantasyPower is currently in active development.

FantasyPower is currently in active development and should be treated as a beta release. Balance, visuals, interfaces, configuration and individual mechanics may change.

Bugs and compatibility issues may still occur, so backing up important worlds before updating is recommended.

Bug reports and suggestions are welcome. When reporting an issue, please include the FantasyPower version, NeoForge version, installed mods, reproduction steps and—when possible—your latest.log or crash report.
