About this project
What does SAOMenu add?
SAO Utils-style circular menu interface mod · Minecraft 1.20.1 · Architectury (Forge & Fabric)
Press the O key (default, can be changed in key settings) to open the Sword Art Online-style floating menu
The world stays fully lit (no occlusion), with the menu floating slightly to the upper left in front of the character (anchor point 38.9%W / 36.3%H, exactly matching the SAO-World reference screenshot pixel by pixel).
A column of semi-transparent circular main buttons (Skills / Team / Friends / Settings) that turn orange #EFA603 and invert the icon when hovered.
SAO-style animation: opening scales out from the button, the entire menu gently floats up and down, player cards slide in cascading with menu items, and it collapses back when closed.
Left-side player attribute card: player name, full-body silhouette, handheld item preview (top-left slot, held items row), Level / Experience / Health / Hunger / Armor / Strength / Agility / Resistance (9 rows on large cards, automatically condensed to 6 rows on smaller cards).
Health bar panel (for larger GUI): health bar, hunger bar, dual-line text showing health/level and armor.
SAO 3D target-surrounding health bar: a true 3D arc drawn in world space around the creature's torso (thin shell, separate tail segment, bright white border), follows the creature in real time, with perspective and a surrounding feel; the midpoint of the arc always faces the camera, readable even behind the creature; fades in only when the player looks at the creature (calculated by half-angle radius, counted if close and fills the screen), fades out when looking away; color transitions from green to yellow, orange, then red as health drops, flashing bright white when hit; a red diamond above the head faces the camera, name/health text drawn on the HUD layer (with dark backing). Layers do not overlap geometrically and colors are opaque, compatible with Iris/Oculus lighting—lighting treats custom POSITION_COLOR primitives as opaque geometry, ignoring vertex alpha and submission order, whereas traditional multi-layer semi-transparent glass shells under lighting degrade into a solid white wall that blocks health reading.
Below the health bar panel, an effect icon row (original potion effect textures, displayed in both menu and HUD).
SAO clock widget: top-centered real-time clock (theme-colored border), 12/24-hour format and date display configurable; hovering over status effect icons shows name and remaining duration.
