Design your own TNT, crank it up to x10,000, load it with nukes, tornadoes and black holes, and put your name on it.

Craft the Custom TNT Workbench (crafting table + 3 TNT + 2 iron ingots + 2 redstone) and design a TNT nobody else has, in four steps:

200 looks · 10,000 power levels · 70 abilities to mix
No two TNTs need to be alike.

• 🎨 Look – the skin of any TNT in the mod, with a live 3D preview and a search box.
• 💥 Power – drag the slider from x1 up to x10,000 blast power: a crater up to 142 blocks in radius.
• 🧪 Abilities – mix up to 10 of the 70 abilities taken from the other TNTs: radiation, tornado, lava, lightning, black hole, zombies, confetti and many more. The extreme ones cost a lot.
• 🏷️ Name – give it a name of its own. It floats over your TNT while the fuse burns.

The price is worked out fairly from what the TNT really does: an x5 TNT costs about 4 normal TNTs, and every ability adds materials that match its effect. Pay through the workbench slots, which hoppers can fill too. Free in creative mode.

The workbench now remembers your design. Close it, go and fetch the materials it asks for, and carry on right where you left off. A new Start over button clears it in one click.
Also fixes the crash on startup with current NeoForge 26.3.

TNT Expansion adds 200+ brand-new TNTs to Minecraft. Every single one is a real TNT block: place it, light it with redstone, fire, flint and steel or a flaming arrow, mine it back, and chain it off other explosions.

Each one is a fusion: craft it (shapeless) from the two TNTs it is built on.

Every new TNT has its own throwable dynamite, textures and English & Spanish names. Existing worlds load as they are — just replace the jar.

🛠️ 2.4.1 — fix and cleanup
TNTs break blocks again on servers with /gamerule mobGriefing false: like vanilla TNT, they now ignore that rule (switch obeyMobGriefing on in the config to get the old behaviour back). Plus code cleanup in every version.

• 🌈 Rainbow TNT — fills a sphere with wool in every colour of the rainbow.

• 🧽 Sponge TNT — soaks up every bit of water and lava in a huge sphere. Breaks nothing, hurts nobody.
• 💡 Glowstone TNT — lights up a whole cave in one go, harmlessly.
• 💨 Smoke Bomb blinds and slows everything nearby · 💖 Healing TNT heals and gives Regeneration.
• 🎃 Halloween TNT — night falls, jack o'lanterns appear, and the monsters come out.
• 🧙 Witch, 🐛 Silverfish and 👻 Vex TNT — release swarms of hostile mobs.
• 🐶 Pet TNT — leaves wolves, cats and parrots ready to tame.
• 💀 Soul TNT — blasts a soul sand valley crater and withers whoever is in it.

✨ 2.3.1 — a little polish
TNT Expansion now shows its own dynamite logo 🧨 and an up-to-date description in the mod list, on every version and loader. Same TNTs, same worlds — just drop the new jar in.

🆕 Now also on Minecraft 1.7.10 (Forge) and NeoForge 1.20.1 — every TNT, its dynamite and every recipe.

even the very last TNT is reachable in survival. The 2.3.0 newcomers are quick shapeless recipes (e.g. TNT x5 + Sponge), and the 2.4.0 ones fuse two TNTs (e.g. Tornado TNT + Storm TNT = Hurricane TNT). Any recipe viewer (JEI / REI / EMI) shows every recipe in game.

🚀 The big explosions do not use the vanilla system (which is impossible at a 190-block radius). A custom engine writes straight into the chunks, spreads the work across ticks under a block budget and resends the chunks to players — the biggest crater in the mod carves itself out right in front of you instead of freezing the server.

⚙️ config/tntexpansion-common.toml lets you cap the maximum radius, lower the work per tick, scale every explosion at once, or turn block damage off entirely — perfect for servers.
