What does GZPhone add?

📱 GroundZero Phone

A custom smartphone system for Minecraft 1.20.1 Hybrid servers.

GroundZero Phone was originally built for the GroundZero Hybrid server and brings a fully custom smartphone interface to Minecraft. It combines communication, server tools and gameplay integrations without using standard inventory-style GUIs.

🎙️ Voice Calls

Install GroundZero Phone VoiceBridge + Simple Voice Chat to enable real phone voice communication, including private and group calls.

Voice support is optional — the rest of the Phone can be used without it.

💰 Vault

On Hybrid servers, the Phone can hook into Vault, allowing apps to interact with your existing economy for balances, payments, banking and other server systems.

📜 Using Your Own Skripts

You can already connect GroundZero Phone with your own Skript systems.

Basic setup:

  1. Install Skript.
  2. Create your .sk file in plugins/Skript/scripts/.
  3. Keep your server logic inside your Skript.
  4. Connect the relevant Phone action/app to your system.
  5. Reload with /sk reload <script>.

This allows the Phone to act as the frontend for systems such as Jobs, Police, EMS, Towns, Banking, Racing, Contracts, Shops, Missions and more.

⚠️ The current Phone was primarily developed for GroundZero, so connecting your own systems can still require some manual setup.

Future versions will make creating apps and connecting them to your own Skripts, commands and plugins much easier and more plug-and-play.

🔗 Hybrid Server Support

GroundZero Phone is designed primarily for Hybrid servers combining Forge mods with Bukkit/Spigot plugins.

Development and testing currently focuses on Arclight 1.20.1. Other Hybrid implementations may work, but compatibility can vary.

The Phone is actively developed and used on the GroundZero Zombie Survival server.

While some integrations are currently GroundZero-specific, we're working toward making the Phone much easier for other Hybrid server owners to customize and integrate with their own systems.
