Create: Crystal Industry
Create Crystal Industry is a resource production mod built around budding blocks, adding crystal-growing production lines and quality-of-life tools and items.
Quick answer
Which Create: Crystal Industry release should I use?
Create: Crystal Industry create_crystal_industry-1.0.0-beta.1.4.jar targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 1 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Create: Crystal Industry required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Create: Crystal Industry create_crystal_industry-1.0.0-beta.1.4.jar need?
create_crystal_industry-1.0.0-beta.1.4.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Create first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.
Before you install it

About this project
What does Create: Crystal Industry add?
Vanilla's amethyst mechanic — "budding blocks slowly grow crystals" — extended to the entire industrial system.
No more mining all over the world — find one budding block and let it grow on its own.
1.The Core: Budding Blocks
Every budding block works just like Budding Amethyst: it slowly grows, on all six faces, Small Bud → Medium Bud → Large Bud → a full Crystal Cluster (a 1/5 chance per random tick to advance one stage; same speed as vanilla). The budding block itself is never consumed — harvest the cluster and it keeps growing.
Additional growth conditions:
- Combustible Ice: the buds must stay submerged in water; out of water, they stop advancing.
- Echo: the light level at the growth position must be 0.
- Fluix (requires AE2): must be connected to an active ME network; every growth consumes AE.
Redstone budding blocks carry a built-in redstone signal of strength 15 and can be used directly as a redstone source.
Budding blocks can also reproduce
This is the key part: an ore budding block has a 1/20 chance to convert stone/deepslate within the surrounding 3×3×3 area into the corresponding ore, and, at a very low chance, "infects" the corresponding raw ore block, turning it into a new budding block. Quartz budding blocks erode diorite; Echo budding blocks convert dirt, stone, tuff, etc. into sculk.
One budding block = a self-expanding ore vein.
2.Accelerators: Turning "Waiting" into "Instant"
In vanilla, a budding block waits ~68 seconds on average for a single random tick, so natural growth is slow enough to be ignored. An accelerator forces one random tick on each of its six adjacent faces every tick, completing growth that would take minutes in an instant.
- Electric Accelerator — consumes FE; adjacent accelerators automatically divide power evenly among themselves.
- Kinetic Accelerator — rotational force is fed in from the back; the faster the rotation, the faster it works, topping out at 256 RPM.
⚠️ Random ticks drive far more than crystals: crops, saplings, copper oxidation, nether wart... every mechanic that relies on random ticks gets accelerated along with them. So it doubles as a general-purpose accelerator — ringing it with budding blocks is just the most profitable way to use it.
3.Supporting Machines & Equipment
- Smart Drill — two modes. Normal mining: twice the speed of a regular Mechanical Drill. Silk Touch: speed on par, but it can harvest the budding block itself intact (one of the legitimate ways to obtain budding blocks).
- Mechanical Vacuum — all the airflow functions of the Encased Fan, plus it draws items caught in the airflow into its own inventory; if the block directly in front is a container, it exchanges items with that container directly, never dropping anything into the world. Blowing/sucking, filtering, and range (within 20 blocks) are all adjustable.
- Night-Vision Goggles — Create Goggles + Echo Shard; press a key to toggle night vision; supports the Curios head slot.
- Echo Spyglass — while in use, your line of sight passes through obstacles and blocks are shown as outlines; filter items can be inserted; detects ores by default.
- Combustible Ice — a premium fuel, and a snack Blazes love.
4.World Generation
Budding blocks generate at the depths of their corresponding ores, usually embedded in ore veins (diamond budding blocks at Y −64 to 16, raw iron −24 to 56, raw copper −16 to 112, raw zinc −63 to 70, lapis lazuli −64 to 64, redstone −63 to 15, etc.). Budding Glowstone appears at the bottom of natural glowstone blobs, and Budding Combustible Ice generates only beneath the seabed of deep oceans.
Each of these can be toggled individually in the config file; the rarity of Combustible Ice and the replacement chance of Budding Glowstone are adjustable as well.
⚠️ Naturally generated Echo budding blocks summon a Warden when broken (ones you place yourself won't).
5.Compatibility
- Required: Create 6.0.10+
- Optional: AE2 (enables Fluix budding blocks), Curios (goggles can be equipped in the head slot), JEI
- Without AE2 installed, the mod starts up normally — it just doesn't register the Fluix-related content.
- All machines provide Create-style goggle info panels (growth status, working speed, growth multiplier) and Ponder tutorial scenes.
