Appzium

Appzium is a large, family-friendly expansion mod for Minecraft Java Edition. It combines one of Minecraft’s most ambitious horse systems with skills, quests, farming, automation, machines, an economy and long-term survival progression.

One of Minecraft’s most extensive horse expansions

A major part of Appzium is its horse gameplay. The mod is being developed as one of the largest and most feature-rich horse expansions for Minecraft, with much more depth than simply adding new horse colors or equipment.

Every horse can receive its own permanent identity, including sex, breed, age, temperament, coat genetics and individual potential. Horses can have recorded parents, breeders and pedigrees, allowing players to develop real breeding lines across several generations.

Only mares and stallions can produce foals. Their offspring inherit traits from both parents, including breed, genetics, temperament and potential. Mixed parents can produce Crossbred horses.

Norwegian Fjords have their own recognizable golden-dun coat, pale mane and dark primitive markings. There is also an extremely rare Appzium bloodline with additional bonuses and unique visual details.

Horse training and development

Horses have their own progression and can improve through regular use. Their profiles contain separate potential values for:

• Jumping
• Endurance
• Dressage

Each horse also has levels and experience. The player’s Horse Riding skill provides additional bonuses while controlling any horse, rewarding players who spend time riding and training.

Horse passports display detailed information across two readable pages, including:

• Name and permanent ID
• Mare or stallion
• Breed and age
• Temperament
• Coat genetics
• Dam, sire and breeder
• Horse level and experience
• Health, hunger and mood
• Race starts, wins and podiums
• Speed, jumping, endurance and dressage potential
• Rare bloodline status

Registered passport information can also be displayed on Stable Signs and Horse Information Boards.

Detailed horse equipment

Appzium adds a complete visible equipment system:

• Bridles
• Saddle pads
• Leg guards

• Colored leads and halters

Equipment is rendered as separate modeled parts rather than large colored overlays. Bridles follow the head and muzzle, saddle pads sit beneath the saddle, guards wrap the correct parts of the legs, and horseshoes appear around the hooves.

The equipment follows the horse’s animated body while standing, walking, running, jumping, swimming, lowering its head or rearing. Multiple pieces can be visible together and many items support custom colors.

Stable care and wellbeing

Players can build functional stable areas rather than purely decorative barns.

Horses have hunger and wellbeing systems. Comfortable bedding and pasture improve their daily condition, while dirty ground must be cleaned. Horses can be fed manually or through hanging Hay Sacks.

Horse Wash Stations heal nearby horses slightly and improve their comfort. Horse Wagons can carry a passenger or provide mobile storage.

Horse safety and recovery

A defeated owned horse is protected by Appzium’s recovery system. Instead of disappearing permanently, it becomes a Recovery Egg containing its saved information.

The system preserves important horse data, including:

• Appearance
• Breed
• Pedigree
• Training
• Progression
• Equipment

Place the egg in a Horse Recovery Station and pay the recovery fee. Once healed, the horse can safely return to the world.

If the owner is offline or has no inventory space, Appzium stores the recovery item and delivers it later.

Horse auctions and sales

Appzium includes a server-wide Horse Auction House.

Players list the horse they are currently riding, reducing the risk of selecting the wrong horse when several are nearby. The horse is stored safely while the auction is active.

Potential buyers can inspect detailed information before purchasing:

After purchase, ownership transfers to the buyer. Unsold horses can be reclaimed by their original owner.

Players can also sell unwanted horses directly to the Horse Shop for a smaller immediate payment. Direct sales require the player to ride their own horse, and the horse must have all equipment removed.

Racing and competitions

Players can build riding courses using:

Courses record completion times and personal records. Linked leaderboards display the fastest riders, while Race Monitors can show results on larger decorative displays.

Competitions can award bronze, silver and gold trophies or rosettes.

Appzium includes seven player skills:

Activities grant experience in their matching skill. Higher levels unlock useful bonuses, and milestone levels provide reward crates.

The quest system introduces important features gradually and gives new players clear goals without preventing experienced players from exploring freely.

Coins and trading

Appzium includes a server-friendly Coin economy.

Coins can be earned by:

• Selling priced items through Shipping Chests
• Completing quests
• Participating in supported activities
• Selling horses
• Trading horses through the Auction House

Coins can be spent in the Appzium Shop. Its default Early Access offers include:

Server operators can configure shop offers and item-selling prices without modifying the mod.

Power and automation

Appzium includes an RF-based power system with:

Power cables can connect across floors, walls and ceilings. Water Generators support several connected wheels, with each wheel contributing energy.

Item Pipes transfer items between inventories and support insert, extract and filtering options.

Farming and irrigation

Appzium expands farming with new crops, area harvesting and automated irrigation.

Water Pumps supply connected Water Pipe networks. Sprinklers keep nearby farmland hydrated and improve crop growth while correctly connected.

Hoe harvesting areas increase with tool quality, reaching 9×9 with the strongest tools. Mature crops are harvested and replanted automatically.

Equipment and upgrades

Players can craft Appzium tools and armor with Netherite-grade properties.

Appzium Gems can upgrade supported equipment through the Smithing Table. Upgrades can improve:

• Weapon damage
• Combustion Engine output
• Fuel efficiency

Upgraded items display their current level and bonuses.

Teleportation and exploration

Teleport Statues create a named travel network between registered destinations.

Players can:

The complete Appzium guide is available directly from the player inventory through the Guide tab. Players do not need to carry the physical guidebook.

The guide contains chapters covering progression, farming, machines, irrigation, equipment, horses, breeding, stable care, auctions, racing and administration. It remembers the last chapter and page visited.

Early Access

Appzium 1.0 Early Access already contains a broad collection of connected systems, with the horse experience at its center.

Development is continuing, and features may receive balancing changes, visual improvements and additional content during Early Access.

Appzium is intended for players who want more long-term goals, useful building projects and a much deeper reason to breed, train, care for and compete with horses in Minecraft.
