About this project
What does Restore Spawn Chunks add?
Restore Spawn Chunks brings back the classic Spawn Chunks functionality that was removed in 1.21.9.
The mod adds the new gamerule restorespawnchunks, allowing you to configure how many chunks around the world spawn remain permanently loaded.
By default, the Spawn Chunk radius is set to 2 chunks, but it can be configured anywhere from 0 to 32 chunks.
Spawn Chunks can be configured in singleplayer even if cheats are disabled.
If Mod Menu is installed, the Spawn Chunk radius can be changed directly through the mod's configuration screen instead of using commands.
The configuration screen also includes a button that displays the currently active Spawn Chunks in-game for 10 seconds, making it easy to see exactly which chunks are being kept loaded.
The mod can also be used on servers, but it must be installed server-side and the user must be Operator**.**
