[DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks
Performance optimization mod for Dynamic Trees focused on cutting expensive leaf/tree work, reducing MSPT, smoothing frame times and killing nasty rendering spikes. Made with love at BlackRift Studios :]
Quick answer
Which [DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks release should I use?
[DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks dtt-omni-1.0.1.jar targets 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.1.2 with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 2 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is [DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does [DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks dtt-omni-1.0.1.jar need?
dtt-omni-1.0.1.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Dynamic Trees, [QAPI] | Quantified API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 1 comes through another mod in the chain.
1 extra mod was pulled in by another dependency. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does [DTT] | Dynamic Trees: Tweaks add?
Dynamic Trees: Tweaks
Dynamic Trees, Optimized
Dynamic Trees: Tweaks, or DTT, is a performance optimization layer for Dynamic Trees focused on reducing expensive tree and leaf processing, lowering server MSPT and greatly improving frame-time stability.
What does DTT actually improve?
Dynamic Trees performs considerably more work than vanilla trees through branch logic, leaf hydration, growth, neighbourhood checks, updates and rendering.
DTT targets those expensive paths directly by reducing repeated work, improving data reuse and moving suitable processing through Quantified API.
- Lower server MSPT
- Reduced leaf processing cost
- Greatly reduced rendering spikes
- More stable frame times and FPS
- Parallel and multithreaded processing through Quantified API
- Advanced caching for frequently reused tree data
Measured server performance
In a matched dedicated-server benchmark using the same branch-adjacent leaf workload:
| Measurement | Stock | DTT |
|---|---|---|
| Average MSPT | 11.2135 ms | 6.4128 ms |
| Leaf work | 8.0900 ms | 5.4887 ms |
42.8% lower total MSPT and 32.2% lower leaf-work MSPT.
That is around 4.80 ms saved PER tick and roughly 1.75x faster overall in this tested workload :]
Results always will and do depend on hardware, tree density, world activity and the rest of your modpack. These numbers represent the matched benchmark above, not a universal performance multiplier so please be wary!!!!!
Smoother frame times
DTT also targets the client-side cost of Dynamic Trees ;]
Tree heavy areas can produce sudden render and update spikes even when average FPS looks good. DTT reduces those spikes and stabilizes frame pacing so performance stays much more consistent while moving through dense forests, meaning the experience is much smoother.
- Fewer large frame-time spikes
- More consistent FPS
- Reduced CPU pressure during tree updates which caused such issues in the first place
- Smoother rendering in Dynamic Trees heavy areas
