About this project
What does Automatic Delight add?
Automatic Delight
Automatic Delight is a lightweight compatibility mod that automatically adds Farmer's Delight Cutting Board recipes for modded wood.
Instead of maintaining a hardcoded list of supported mods, Automatic Delight detects how modded logs behave when stripped with an axe and generates matching Cutting Board recipes automatically.
Features
- Automatically supports compatible modded logs, wood, stems, and hyphae
- Detects the block's actual axe-stripping behavior
- Generates Farmer's Delight Cutting Board recipes at runtime
- Produces the corresponding stripped block and Tree Bark
- Does not rely on block naming conventions
- Preserves existing Cutting Board recipes instead of replacing them
- Requires no configuration or per-mod compatibility files
For example:
Modded Maple Log + Axe → Stripped Maple Log + Tree Bark
If a wood-adding mod implements its logs using standard Minecraft/NeoForge behavior, Automatic Delight can potentially support it without needing a dedicated compatibility update.
Compatibility
Currently developed for:
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- Farmer's Delight
Tested with Regions Unexplored, where Automatic Delight successfully generated dozens of additional Cutting Board recipes.
Existing compatible Cutting Board recipes provided by Farmer's Delight, other mods, or datapacks take priority. Automatic Delight only fills in missing recipes.
Installation
- Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Install Farmer's Delight.
- Install Automatic Delight.
- Launch the game.
No configuration is required.
Current Scope
The initial release focuses on stripping modded wood with the Cutting Board.
Automatic support for additional wooden blocks may be added in future versions.
