About this project
What does MiTE: Break Everything Modern add?
This is Minecrafts hardest mod for 26.2
MiTE:Break Everything, originally a chinese 1.6.4 Mod, rebuilt from the ground up for version 26.2 for english audiences. Some elements are different, and I took a lot of creative liberties, but the game should be totally intuitive for BE players. I heavily recommend everyone should play the original.
Important: DEPENDENCIES: Fabric API, Amethystnether, Xaeros World Map, Waystones and Simpleblood. Sodium is integrated
Please report crashes and bugs on Github Issues.
This mod wouldn't have been possible without the developers of the modern mods which MiTE:BE used. If licensing issues exist, contact via github issues.
Compared to original MiTE:BE Progression is faster and blocks break about 2x quicker. Modern world generation allows for easier access to copper and iron. There are many diverse ways to progress in the mid-game, as opposed to rushing for the underwold.
Mobs have been made harder to balance this. Hostile Mobs have permanent Speed I, always see you within two chunks and break blocks to reach you. Skeletons are extremely deadly, with and without a shield. Spiders have improved climbing AI.
Added Immersive Paintings for extra trolling possibilities. (Definitely not breaking immersion)
MOD TLDR:
Surviving in this world require extreme tactical and strategical fidelity. Being careless and bad decisions can cost hours of progress.
135 Advancements in total have been added to guide the player.
Added 2 new dimensions, The Underworld and [UNKNOWN]. May or may not have an ARG in [UNKNOWN].
8 Surreal Weather and Moon Events.
Sensible Temperature-, Thirst-, Sleepiness- and Balanced Diet System. Heavily reworked Progression and Mob AI.
Hardcore Mode is a world selection option, but I think it's basically impossible and way harder to beat than in original BE, due to the higher fragility and variance of the game.
Creative Mode, Cheats and DEV mode are accessible after killing the (very difficult) dragon.
INFO:
Added Temperature-, Thirst-, Sleepiness- and a Balanced Diet System.
You start at 3 hearts. Health increases by one heart every 10 levels, and the way you earn levels has been modified.
Keep Inventory is partly enabled. Ores, Minerals, Ingots, and Blocks drop on any death. Tools and Utility Blocks like crafting tables, Anvils, etc. don't drop. Dying costs 5 levels. In singleplayer, dying under 5 levels drops your inventory, resets your spawnpoint and shortly increases world spawn radius to 1000 blocks.
If you die under 5 levels and for some reason decide to not reset, you can gain 5 levels again and after dying, you will spawn at the original world spawn.
Hunger doesn't heal your health and depletes while doing nothing. You passively regenerate every 45 seconds.
Pressing F3 opens further stats. The +N / -N is your diet. Meats fill towards the +N side, Fruits, plants and vegetables towards the -N side. Being over +/-60 N will slow passive regeneration. At +/-90 regeneration stops completely.
Phantoms have been disabled but negative effects will come after not sleeping for multiple days.
Structures like villages, shipwrecks and ruined portals don't generate until later during progression.
There is a Moon Cycle of Blood Moons, Blue Moons and [REDACTED]. Encourages building to protect your crops and animals from [REDACTED].
Breaking speed has been reduced.
Crafting takes time.
*Stone tools and Wooden Tools (except spear, shovel and sword) have been removed.*Farming and keeping animals have been significantly changed. For plants to grow, craft and place organic compost and let it decompose over time. It will turn into fertile soil which you can grow plants on.
Passive Animals need lots of space and grass or moss to survive.Diamond Armor and Tools are craftable again! I decided this because of Netherite. Diamond is weaker than mithril.
Added 2 new dimensions, The Underworld and [SECRET].
The Wither's and Ender Dragon's AI are significantly tweaked thanks to Mob AI Tweaks by Unknowneth. Read its modrinth page for help against bosses. Bosses have legendary item drops.
Elytras are obtainable before the End, fireworks not however. Mending and Infinity have been disabled.
Raids are disabled.
Note: Zombie infections take a really long time to develop and aren't always deadly.
***For BE Players:******WHAT RETURNS:
-Tiered Workbenches, Furnaces and Anvils.
-All the player systems MiTE:BE had except excretion.
-Portal functionalities (removed biome portals to drive exploration).
-Water filtering, World spawn anchor.
-Attribute Points.
-Quality System using Smithing Tables.
-Enhancements, Armor Reinforcements, Potential Core.
WHATS NEW:
- Added Elytra, Trident, Netherite and modern structures to fit in the game.
- Full Cooking and Farming system.
- Artifacts to give passive boosts, adding a layer to progression.
- Radiation and Zombie Infection
- Way more nether content and challenges late-game
- One more dimension before the dragon...***I've always felt the underworld should be more barren, so no structures except dungeons generate there. The nether has more content, as it is way more of a real ecosystem than a cave world. (DOWNLOAD AMETHYSTNETHER!!! CAN'T GUARANTEE THINGS WILL WORK IN VANILLA NETHER)
And much much more.

NEW PLAYER GUIDE
You have to be fast on your first day. Kill animals for leather and food, break grass for grass fiber, punch leaves for sticks, and break gravel for flint and blocks. You'll need enough building blocks to survive the night, which will likely require many attempts. Dirt is affected by gravity, so use coarse dirt.
Combine flint with straw rope and stick to make your first flint knife. Use it to cut leather into sinew. One more flint and sinew gets you a hatchet. Finally cut down trees for a flint workbench. Combine logs and a flint knife in a crafting table for planks.
Focus on getting many Mesh sieves, which are necessary to get way more materials from gravel.
Craft a flint pickaxe. You have to use a Bone- or Wooden Club to kill a spider. They always drop 2 String. Mine stone and coal for a furnace. Smelting copper- and iron ingots require an obsidian ingot mould, which is crafted with a flint knife or warhammer and an obsidian. Fill the furnace with 36 copper nuggets or 4 mined raw copper for a copper-tier crafting table and the glorious copper pickaxe. Process the iron nuggets into an ingot aswell and focus on getting a bed as soon as possible.
In case of Iron abundance, it might be worth it to skip a copper workbench and go straight to iron. But remember:
Beds need an iron ingot to craft and a fully sealed shelter.
Cooking food requires a campfire. It has to be lit with a flint and steel first.
Torches burn out after 15 minutes. Craft copper torches and lanterns for longer burning times.
Smelt sand for bottles and a water filter. Clean Water or enough fruit is necessary to progress. Fill the top tank using water bottles. The bottom tank needs a filter cartridge for water to be filtered.
For animals not to die, isolate 2-3 in a single fenced area. Grow the number of individual "cells". More than 3 animals in a single fenced area will likely not work.
Obsidian is able to be quickly broken by warhammers. Only an Obsidian Furnace allows smelting Gold, Hardstone, Mithril and Mercury.
Redstone, Lapis, Emeralds and Diamonds give large amounts of XP when consumed.
To reach the Nether, one must first build an obsidian portal at bedrock to reach the Underworld. Only then reach the Underworld's deepest bedrock layer and build an elemental obsidian portal on the mantle to access the nether.
An Obsidian Portal not built on bedrock teleports back to the world spawn.
Diamonds are not minable with iron tools. Mithril tools are required from the underworld or ancient cities first.
Surviving in the Underworld without a full Hardstone Armor set (or a Harstone Artifact) and many craftable night vision potions is unfeasible.
These are most of the confusing/different game elements. For safe mining, go in water caves or stripmine. The rest of mining and the tier progression is intuitive, and advancements guide the mid- and late-game well.

Commands / Utility:
/torch - one free torch per player.
/xp - prints current amount of xp points.
/structures - checks eligibility for structure generation. (You have to rejoin the world or restart server for new generation to take effect.)
