Let Me Dress

🧵 Let Me Dress

Take your skin customization to the next level! Let Me Dress is a procedural, multiplayer tailoring mod that lets you craft and wear any skin in armor format, with support for emissive glow, animated textures and many other features.

Design your own garments, share them in real time with your friends on cooperative servers, and revolutionize the aesthetic side of your survival gameplay.

✨ Main Features

  • File-Based Dynamic Tailoring: Place any .png skin file in your local folder and the mod will instantly detect it for tailoring.
  • Dual Multiplayer Synchronization: Binary files are synchronously transmitted over the server network. All connected players will be able to see your outfit in real time.
  • Emissive Glow Support: If you create a mirror mask named _glow.png, the mod will overlay a second layer with Alpha Blending support that ignores shadows, making your fluorescent patterns glow in the middle of the night!
  • Animated textures support: If the file of the texture instead of being 64 x 64 is 64 x b*64 (b being a complete number), the game will understand that each 64 x 64 section is a frame of the animation. The speed of that animation can be controlled on the table.
  • Adjustable Models (Slim & Tight): Adapt the clothing to the slim-arm model (Alex) or enable Tight mode to compress the model to the volume of your skin.
  • Layer Control and Advanced Interface: Hide your skin's vanilla overlays.
  • Place head pieces on the ground by shifting and right clicking

🛠️ How to Use the Mod

1. Prepare Your Textures

Place the loom table on the ground, open the gui and click the folder button. Alternatively, once you have created an instance, go to your instance root folder. You will see that the mod has created a folder called /wardrobe/.

  • Place the .png skins you want to use as clothing inside it.
  • Want it to glow? If you have a file named my_suit.png, add a second file named my_suit_glow.png, painting only the pixels you want to glow.

Replace this with a description Example Glow

  • Want it to be animated? Put the next frame of the skin bellow the original one inside the .png . This way you are creating a 64 x b*64 file (b being a complete number and the number of frames). Animation png

2. Use the Loom Table

Craft the new Loom Table and open its graphical interface. You will find a dynamic search bar and an interactive 3D Virtual Fitting Room.

  • Select a skin from the list on the right. The local tailor will analyze the image and show you in the slots which three specific dyes are required in survival mode to weave it.
  • Use the buttons below the fitting room to turn the rendering of each piece on or off.
  • Use the first button to adjust the model's volume between tight and volumetric.
  • Use the second button to adjust the model from slim to normal.
  • Use the overlay switch to decide whether you want the suit to hide the native jacket and sleeves of your original skin when equipped.
  • If that skin has an animation, control the animation speed with the slider bellow.
  • Use the folder button to open the /wardrobe/ folder and add textures more easily.

3. Show Off Your Outfit!

Place the garment base (base helmet, base chestplate…) alongside the required dyes. Equip the armor and enjoy it!

This mod is still a work in progress. It is not finished yet.
