About this project
What does NTM: Decentralized Edition add?
NTM: Decentralized Edition
Hbm's Nuclear Tech Mod is all about technology, atomic science and things that go boom. Processing machines and power plants, reactors from a humble research pile to RBMK and fusion, oil and chemistry, radiation and fallout, guns, missiles and very, very big bombs. None of it comes for free: before your first mushroom cloud you'll mine, smelt, press, enrich and assemble your way through a real production chain.
NTM: Decentralized Edition is that mod on Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge. It's a backport of NTM: NEXT, the complete port by Warfactory, so you get the whole thing, not a slice of it. And yes, it all works on Create: Aeronautics airships. Want an oil rig on a zeppelin? Go ahead.

What's inside
- The whole mod, nothing cut. RBMK, ZIRNOX, PWR, fusion, the particle accelerator, oil and chemistry, energy and fluid networks, missiles, nukes, radiation and fallout.
- It flies. Machines, cables, pipes and multiblocks keep working on airships: GUIs open, networks survive assembly and disassembly, multiblocks move as one piece.
- Plays well with others. JEI, Jade, The One Probe, CC: Tweaked, Curios, Sophisticated Storage & Backpacks, Traveler's Backpack, Sodium, Lithium, ScalableLux.
- Ponder scenes (work in progress): animated in-game explanations, the Create way.
Installation
Nothing special:
- Install NeoForge 21.1.x for Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Drop the jar into your
modsfolder. Flywheel and Ponder are already inside. - On a server, install it on the server and on every client.
Recommended: ScalableLux. After a big nuke it relights the crater much faster.
This is a beta: the whole mod is in and stable, but it hasn't been through many worlds and modpacks yet. Keep backups, and please report what breaks.
First steps
The start can be a bit confusing, so here's a path for survival:
- Craft a Machine Template Folder and a Burner Press.
- Make flat stamps, then turn them into plate stamps with the folder.
- Press copper plates.
- Build a Blast Furnace, make steel and Minecraft Grade Copper.
- Stamp copper into wires.
- Craft an Assembly Machine.
From there you'll have a feel for how the mod works, and JEI will show you the way. The NTM wiki covers the rest. And take a look at the gallery to get a taste of what's waiting for you.
Found a bug?
Tell me on GitHub or Discord, and attach your latest.log. Please don't take bugs of this build to NTM: NEXT or HbmMods: they're most likely mine, and I'll pass on the ones that really belong upstream.
