[UA] Unified Algorithm
Resolve the issue of disjointed critical strike probability/critical strike damage between Critical Strike and Apotheosis critical strike mods.
Quick answer
Which [UA] Unified Algorithm release should I use?
[UA] Unified Algorithm unified_algorithm-1.0.0.jar targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 1 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is [UA] Unified Algorithm required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does [UA] Unified Algorithm unified_algorithm-1.0.0.jar need?
unified_algorithm-1.0.0.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Critical Strike first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does [UA] Unified Algorithm add?
⚔️ Unified Algorithm ⚔️
Crit was meant to be like this. Two systems? One resolver. They weren't kidding.
undefined
🎭 You think you're playing with crits? They're all watching.
You installed Critical Strike, threw in Apotheosis, and happily stacked a full set of crit affixes.
Then you swing once. The affixes might as well not exist. Critical Strike's particles still flash as usual, but the damage doesn't change at all. You start questioning reality: bro? Where's my crit investment?
Unified Algorithm is here to end this farce:
Make Critical Strike the sole crit resolver, then honestly bridge Apotheosis and other mods' crit stats into it.
⚙️ How It Does It
- Crit Bridging (CritBridge): Every player tick (server-side only, idempotent write): accumulates the "portion above default value" of external attributes in the bridge list into Critical Strike's innate crit modifier (
critical_strike:innate_bonus). Without changing a single line of Critical Strike's code, melee, ranged (projectile owner checks), and batch crits all work naturally. - Anti-Double-Crit (Mixin): When Critical Strike is present, Apotheosis (Apothic Attributes)' built-in crit roll for player attacks is suppressed, so the same hit won't crit twice
- Safe Fallback: Critical Strike not installed? Bridging automatically sleeps. Apotheosis not installed? The anti-double-crit mixin naturally doesn't apply.
Then what are you even installing this mod for?
🧩 Compatibility: Whoever's Present Calls the Shots
| Mod | Status |
|---|---|
| Critical Strike | ✅ Primary target (crit resolver, the one true god) |
| Apotheosis 8.9+ / Apothic Attributes 2.10+ | ✅ Default bridge + anti-double-crit |
| Other crit mods | 🔧 Add their crit stats to the config and they can be bridged. Don't be shy. |
🔧 Configuration
In-game: Mods screen > Unified Algorithm > Config, or edit config/unified_algorithm-common.toml directly.
| Option | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
bridgeEnabled |
true |
Whether to enable crit bridging* |
bridgeAttributes |
The two Apotheosis entries | Bridge attribute list, format; the portion of attribute values above default is added as a decimal to CS's innate crit chance / damage multiplier. Entries for mods that aren't installed are skipped automatically |
suppressExternalPlayerCrits |
true |
While Critical Strike is present, suppresses other mods' built-in crit rolls for player attacks (mobs are unaffected; if they should crit, they still crit) |
Extension example: to bridge another crit mod, just add a line to bridgeAttributes, e.g.:
[[bridgeAttributes]]
"some_mod:crit_chance;chance"
📦 Version Requirements
| Dependency | Version | Required |

| NeoForge | 21.1.252+ | ✅ |
| Critical Strike | 1.0.4+ | Recommended (this mod sleeps if not installed) |
| Apotheosis | 8.9.0+ | Optional |
