About this project
What does Soulbinding Items add?
This mod adds an extensive Soulbinding mechanic that you can use to limit some items to be personal bound and not shareable.
This includes:
- The item stores the owner's UUID
- Other players can't pick up the item from the ground.
- Other players can't take it out of a slot, such as another player's chest or an inventory screen.
- the owner can't drop it
- the server checks each player's inventory, optionally their ender chest, and Accessories slots for items bound to someone else. It removes them and returns them to the real owner. If the owner is offline, the item is held in a saved list in the world data and delivered when they join.
- items in the item tag
soulbinding:auto_bind - The player is told when an item binds to them or finds its way back, if
bind_messageis on.
Via the config file you can edit the following parts:
sweep_interval: how often players are checked, in tickssweep_ender_chest: also check the ender chest.creative_bypass: creative players can pick up, drop, and keep other players' bound itemsbind_message: tell players in chat when an item binds on its own, like giving it via quests and such
