SpeedForce Nexus

This mod is actively developed and receives regular updates. Every new version adds features and fixes bugs, so follow the project to see them as they come out.
Requirements

* Required: Palladium and Player Animator.
* Optional: Time Clock (4.8.0) + Cloth Config, for Flash Time only.

How to get the power

* Survival: get struck by lightning while you have Speed, Fire Resistance, and Regeneration at the same time.
* Creative or testing: an operator can use Palladium's /superpower set <player> speedforce_nexus:speedster.
* Testing the unlocks: a character that already exists starts with nothing unlocked and 1 speed bar. Operators can use /nexus unlock <player> all and /nexus speedbar set <player> 12.

What's in this version
🆕 Unlock system (new)

* You start with the basics and earn the rest. Nothing is handed out for free any more.
* Mod XP: every kill gives points based on the victim's max health (a zombie gives 2, the Wither gives 30). 10 points = 1 level. This is separate from Minecraft XP.
* Speed bars 2 to 12 unlock by running with speed on. Bar 2 takes 2 minutes and each bar takes a bit longer, about 25 minutes in total for bar 12.
* Skill tree: use the button under the crafting grid in your inventory. Spend levels on Regeneration, Energy Bar, Phasing, Vibrating, Speed Mirage, Invisibility, Lightning, Time Remnant, Breach, Chest Buster and Flash Time. Hover a step to see what it does and what it costs.
* Handicap: at the start, your energy bar charges 75% slower and drains 75% faster, and you heal 75% slower. The Regeneration and Energy Bar steps remove it.
* Abilities you haven't unlocked are hidden from the ability bar.
* From bar 8, phasing protects you completely. Nothing hurts you, you hurt nothing, and you can't burn or drown.

⚡ Speed

* Super speed: pick your speed bars by scrolling, up to the bars you've unlocked. No sprinting needed, and every bar is faster.
* Energy bar: charges while you run with speed on, drains when it's off.
* Run animation: plays while sprinting with 3+ bars.
* Passive powers: regeneration, less fall damage, water running (bar 2+), lava running (bar 4+), faster swimming, mining and attacking, catching arrows and tridents, step assist, higher jumps.
* Trails and HUD: lightning trails, mirage blur, crackling lightning at high bars, speed bar display, ability icons.

🌀 Movement powers

* Arm Vortex: wind blasts from your arms that slow your fall.
* Wall Run: hold the key to run up walls.
* Phasing Wheel: walk through blocks, vibrate, or turn invisible so mobs forget you.
* Chest Buster: while phasing, hold right-click on an entity to phase it, then punch it for 100 damage. Costs a full bar.

👥 Speed Mirage
A copy of you appears to your right, runs from danger, and lasts 30 seconds. Make several. Each costs 50% of the bar.
🌩️ Lightning (hold the key, then…)

* Left-click: throw a lightning bolt. It flies until it hits something, leaves a trail, and is strong above half energy.
* Right-click: Lightning Sword, now a see-through glowing lightning beam. Sets targets on fire like Fire Aspect II. Costs 75%.
* Crouch: Lightning Gauntlet beam from both hands. Hits 25% faster than before. Drains 8.5% per second.

⏱️ Time powers (second ability list)

* Flash Time: slows time for everyone except you and other speedsters. Costs 3% per second. Press to start, crouch + press to stop.
* Time Remnant: a lasting copy of you (your skin, armor and items, 15 hearts). It now has Strength I, Speed I, Regeneration I and Resistance I built in. Costs a full bar. Right-click it to set Roaming, Following or Idle. Crouch + press to swap places with it.

🔧 Fixes

* Fixed a startup crash when Architectury API is installed.
* Fixed a crash while playing ("Property hidden_in_bar was not registered").
* Fixed the dark sky in the Speed Force dimension.
