About this project
What does StageCraft - Sound, Light, Video, Action!!! add?
StageCraft: build, power and run a real concert stage
StageCraft turns Minecraft into a live event production. You bring in a diesel generator, set up power distribution, fly line arrays and truss with chain motors, run DMX to the moving heads and program the show on a lighting console, or straight from real lighting software over Art-Net.
Everything is connected with real cables. Cables lie on the ground, follow the truss and carry a real load: overload a circuit and the breaker trips.
⚡ Power
- Diesel generators (10, 30 and 100 kVA) as a 3x3x3 multiblock that, once formed, takes on the look of a soundproofed generator set
- Distribution: 32 A boxes, 9-outlet power strips, 32 A / 63 A distro panels, 8-way connectors and power-thru on fixtures
🔊 Sound
- Line arrays (compact, standard and large), two-way speakers, subwoofers (15", 18", dual 18"), floor monitors, front fills and column speakers
- Amplifiers with real impedance and channel limits, a DSP with crossover and limiter, and analog and digital mixing consoles
- Coverage depends on the system: a balanced PA sounds balanced, while 20 tops with 1 sub won't
- True stereo: L and R follow the player's position
💡 Lighting & DMX
- 50+ fixtures: LED PARs, wash / spot / beam moving heads, beam bars, footlights, strobes, blinders, fresnels, profile spots, cyc lights, pixel bars and a follow spot
- Lighting console with color, position, beam and effect presets
- Splitters, mergers and wireless DMX
🌐 Art-Net (real lighting software)
- Built-in Art-Net receiver: control fixtures from lighting software on your PC or from a real console
- Fixture profiles for QLC+ and grandMA2 onPC (GDTF / XML) are not included (contact the developer!)
- Runs off the game thread with packet rate limiting, so the server never stalls
📺 Video
- LED panels that merge into a large screen (up to 32x32 panels)
- Built-in browser (requires MCEF): every player sees the same page at the same moment, even those who join later
- HDMI cables, splitters, converters and an HDMI audio extractor to send the video's sound to the PA
🏗️ Rigging & Stage
- Square truss, heavy truss, triangle truss, truss roof and tower bases
- Electric chain motors with visible chain that raise and lower loads smoothly
- Fly frames, hooks, speaker stands and wall brackets
- Stage decks, stairs, drum risers, crowd barriers, flight cases, cable ramps, cable trays, work lights, neon lights and production desks
🔧 Crew Tools
- Multimeter, cable tester, laser distance meter, walkie-talkie, FOH system monitor and repair kits
- Gear wears out and heats up, so it pays to keep spare parts
- Stage Technician's Manual: an in-game guide with 33 pages, in Portuguese and English
Requirements
| Optional |MCEF, for video panels / browser | | Optional |Any FE energy mod |
Getting Started
- Craft the Stage Technician's Manual, which explains each system step by step.
- Build a generator, run a power cable to a distro panel and plug in your gear.
- Connect the mixing console to the amplifiers and from there to the speakers, connect the lighting console to the fixtures via DMX, and start the show.
StageCraft is an original mod. The gear is inspired by real touring equipment, but uses no real brands or logos.
