About this project

What does Skywarden & Shattered add?

Encounter the explosive Shattered and mysterious Skywarden, with End shrines, Elytra enchantments, and smithing reinforcements.

Description:
Skywarden & Shattered introduces an armored predator beneath the surface and a mysterious trader on the outer End islands.

The Shattered stalks players through dark underground areas with a hunched approach before closing in for an explosive attack. Its armored shell makes it a tough opponent, and its explosions respect mobGriefing. Collect its shards, craft shell blocks, and smelt them into Shattered ingots.

Combine an ingot with compatible equipment in a smithing table to improve mining speed, melee damage and knockback, or armor knockback resistance and explosion protection. Adding a Shattered head enables a stronger reinforcement tier. Existing item data and upgrades are preserved, and bonuses do not stack indefinitely. Heads can drop from rare player kills or a charged-creeper kill.

Explore the outer End islands to discover Skywarden shrines. These rare custom traders offer four specialized Elytra enchantments:

Aether Glide slows descent while gliding.
Void Lift provides an upward burst during flight, with a cooldown.
Slipstream increases horizontal speed while diving.
Feather Fall (Elytra) reduces landing damage during or shortly after gliding.

Skywardens also repel Endermen within a 50-block radius. Nearby hostile Endermen lose their target and attempt to teleport away to a safe location.

Requires Minecraft 26.1.2, NeoForge 26.1.2.114, and GeckoLib 5.5.2. Install on both server and client. The current release is a beta.

Shattered and Skywarden concepts contributed by Xduper82 and iiwiikenoniwan, with permission for public adaptation. Project direction, gameplay design, and playtesting by D4rk0ne. Implementation, models, textures, animations, and testing assisted by OpenAI Codex. Code is MIT-licensed; character assets have a separate license scope included in the mod.
