About this project
What does Death Hand add?
Death Hand turns dying into a haunting little ritual instead of a corpse run. The moment you die, your inventory, armor, offhand and XP are safely stored in a unique per-death record, and a gaunt, glowing-veined hand rises from the exact spot where you fell, its fingers twitching, with whispers and soul particles in the air.
Right-click it and a translucent, fully green ghost of you rises out of the ground, glides over, and shakes your hand while the camera turns to watch. Then the ghost fades, the hand sinks back into the earth, and every item returns to its original slot, along with all your XP levels and points.
- Only the owner can use their hand; anyone else clicking it does nothing.
- Items and XP are returned exactly once, with no duplication and no loss.
- Records are saved with the world, so they survive logouts, restarts and chunk reloads.
- Items that don’t fit are dropped at your feet and locked to you.
- Works with
/deathhand listto see where your hands are waiting. - Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge.
