Rudolph's Cheval Grand Utils

A mod for Forge 1.20.1 that improves fishing and ocean exploration, and adds baseball to Minecraft. It was created exclusively to celebrate the birthday of the Cygames character and racehorse Cheval Grand. This mod has been planned and in development since March 10, 2026. It took a while, and it's finally here.

⚓ Cheval Grand Hat ⚓

Made for fishing and the sea.

• Use an Ocean Pearl on the hat to activate it. Pearls are found in shipwreck chests.
• While the pearl is active (20 minutes by default) you get Luck III, around 3x more air underwater and 3x fishing loot.
• The hat changes its look while the pearl is active.
• The hat itself is a rare find in shipwreck chests.

👢 Cheval Grand Boots 👢

Hold sneak while in water and you swim up fast, leaving bubbles behind. No more slowly floating to the surface.

• Found in shipwreck chests (rare).

⚾ Baseball set ⚾

• Red Ball: a practice ball. Throw it like a trident, it pushes players and mobs but doesn't hurt them. Pick it back up by walking over it.
• Baseball: the real one. Throw it and it deals 2.5 hearts of damage.
• Baseball Bat: hold right click to raise it, and when the ball reaches you it gets sent wherever you're looking. Every hit doubles its power.
• Gloves: dyeable like leather armor. Hold them in your other hand while throwing a baseball for x1.5 power. Your arrows and thrown potions also fly farther while you hold them.
• Red balls and baseballs can be found in village chests. The bat and the gloves are craftable.

Cosmetic armor support

The hat and the boots keep working when they are placed in the cosmetic armor slots from Rudolph's Core. You keep your look and your powers.

Config

Almost everything can be changed in rudolphchevalgrandutil-common.toml:

• Pearl duration, Luck level, fishing multiplier and pearl loot chance
• Boots swimming speed
• Throw speed, damage and power multipliers of the baseball set
• Loot chances for village and shipwreck chests
