About this project
What does Talek's Lost Souls add?

Minecraft gets boring once netherite armor turns every fight into a joke. Lost Souls fixes that by introducing mobs that actually scale with your progress, using soul mechanics and custom shaders so late-game combat stays dangerous.
Links & Support
What's In The Mod
- Soul-Imbued Mobs: Heavily buffed variants that spawn equipped to fight gear-heavy players.
- Custom Shaders and Particles: Distinct visuals and particle emitters that give hostile mobs a ghostly, unstable look.
- Shard-Based Enchanting: Defeat buffed mobs to collect custom shard drops, then use those shards to power a separate enchanting path.
- Expanded Mob Status Effects: Enemies hit harder and apply harsher status effects during encounters.
Planned Features
- Scaling soul mob spawn rates based on how many hours a world has been active.
- Higher chances for enemies to spawn with enchanted high-tier armor and weapons.
- World-dependent scaling that ramps up difficulty when entering the Nether and End.
Shader Compatibility Notice
Third-party shader packs currently break the custom mob rendering. Core shader support is being worked on, but expect visual glitches if you run OptiFine, Iris, or standard shader packs alongside this mod for now.
