About this project
What does Mindworks Core add?
The library behind Mindworks, an opt-in art series about how mental illness can feel from the inside. It does nothing on its own: install it together with a Mindworks module, such as Mindworks: Dementia.
It provides the consent screen and per-player opt-in, the pause-menu Mindworks button, the supporter role, the camera, photos and songs, small coping advancements, and the shared perception effects (screen, sound and music) that the modules use.
Made with respect
Mindworks is not a diagnosis tool, a medical simulation or a joke about illness. The illness is the enemy here, never the person. Nothing happens unless a player chooses it, and every player can stop at any time from the Mindworks button in the pause menu.
If anything in Mindworks feels familiar in your own life, please talk to someone you trust or a mental health professional. A free directory of helplines: https://findahelpline.com
