About this project

What does Snow Golem Plus add?

Snow Golem Plus

Build snow golems from 48 different blocks. A snow block at the bottom, a special block in the middle and a pumpkin on top: the middle block decides which golem you get. Each one throws its own snowballs, leaves its own coloured snow and has its own ability.

The vanilla snow golem stays exactly as it is.

Features

  • 48 golems, from Iron and Gold to the Dragon Egg and the Beacon.
  • Fair stats: the harder the middle block is to get, the more health and damage the golem has (tiers T1 to T5).
  • Their own snowballs: every golem throws snowballs in its colours, with a trail of tiny snow flakes and a burst on impact.
  • Throw them yourself: golems drop their snowballs, and a snowball you throw does the same damage and effect as the golem's.
  • Coloured snow: each golem leaves a trail of its own coloured snow. Dig it with a shovel to get that golem's snowballs.
  • Emerald golems guard villages: they spawn on their own like iron golems, at most 3 per village.
  • Two styles: Vanilla (cute, the default) and Halloween (armoured, with glowing eyes). Change it in Mods → Snow Golem Plus → Config. In multiplayer every player sees the style they picked.
  • Translated into 30 languages.

How to build

  1. Place a snow block.
  2. Place the special block on top of it (see the table below).
  3. Place a carved pumpkin or a jack o'lantern on top.

Tip: for blocks that open a menu (crafting table, barrel, dispenser, beacon, ...) hold Shift while placing the pumpkin.

Golems attack hostile mobs, protect players and fight back when hit. Right-click a golem with its material (for example an iron ingot for the Iron golem) to heal it.
