About this project
What does Create: Power add?
Create: Power
Power your factory. Harness the elements. Expand your Create experience.
Bring renewable energy and powerful new generators to Minecraft with Create: Power, an addon for the Create mod that introduces new ways to generate rotational power and connect your factory to the world of Forge Energy (FE).
Harness sunlight, wind, flowing water, geothermal heat, or traditional fuels to keep your machines running. Every generator integrates directly into Create's shaft and gear systems, giving you new ways to design efficient factories, build impressive power plants, and automate your production lines.
Need electricity instead? The Dynamo converts rotational power into Forge Energy, while the Electric Motor transforms FE back into rotation. With Create: Power, your factory can do much more than ever before.
Features
☀️ Solar Power — Generate rotational power from sunlight with small and large solar panels.
🌬️ Wind Power — Build small, medium, or large wind turbines, or try the vertical wind rotor. Height, weather, and surrounding obstacles all affect performance.
🌋 Geothermal Energy — Harness the heat of lava and magma blocks with a powerful geothermal generator.
🌊 Hydropower — Use nearby flowing water to drive a water turbine.
🔥 Combustion Power — Burn fuel to generate a reliable supply of rotational energy.
⚡ Electricity Integration — Convert rotational power into Forge Energy with the Dynamo and back into rotation with the Electric Motor.
🌪️ Wind Measurement — Use the anemometer to measure wind strength and check turbine performance.
⚙️ Seamless Create Integration — Every machine uses familiar Create components, including shafts, brass casings, copper sheets, and Andesite Alloy.
Generators at a Glance
| Generator | Speed | Maximum Stress Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Small Solar Panel | 16 RPM | 160 SU |
| Large Solar Panel | 32 RPM | 640 SU |
| Small Wind Turbine | 8–32 RPM | 256 SU |
| Medium Wind Turbine | 8–48 RPM | 576 SU |
| Large Wind Turbine | 8–64 RPM | 1,024 SU |
| Vertical Wind Rotor | 8–24 RPM | 288 SU |
| Geothermal Generator | Up to 96 RPM | 3,072 SU |
| Water Turbine | 8–48 RPM | 1,152 SU |
| Combustion Generator | 48 RPM | 960 SU |
Actual performance depends on environmental conditions and generator requirements. Wind turbines need sufficient height and clear space, solar panels require suitable weather and direct sky access, and water and geothermal generators depend on their surroundings.
Harness the Power of Nature
☀️ Solar Energy
Turn daylight into rotational power with compact solar panels or scale up with large solar arrays. Solar panels operate outdoors with open sky during the daytime and stop generating power when it rains.
🌬️ Wind Energy
Build towering wind turbines to take advantage of stronger winds at higher altitudes. Choose from three turbine sizes or use the vertical wind rotor for a different approach to wind power.
Wind speed increases with altitude, and weather can boost output even further. Rain provides a 20% bonus, while thunderstorms add another 17%. Keep the rotor area clear of obstacles to get the most out of your turbines.
🌋 Geothermal Energy
Put the heat of the Nether-inspired underground to work! The geothermal generator produces powerful rotational energy from lava and magma blocks beneath it. For the best output, place it directly above a lava source block.
🌊 Hydropower
Make use of rivers, streams, and flowing water. The water turbine detects water in the surrounding area, with flowing water providing the greatest contribution. Build your turbine near a suitable water flow for continuous rotational power.
🔥 Combustion Power
Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best. Insert fuel directly into the combustion generator to produce rotational power while it burns. It supports common fuels such as coal, charcoal, wood, and lava buckets, with a fuel buffer of up to 2,000 seconds.
Bridge Rotation and Electricity
Create: Power doesn't stop at mechanical energy. Connect your factory to Forge Energy-compatible machines and expand your automation possibilities.
Dynamo — Rotation to FE
Convert rotational power into Forge Energy for compatible machines from other mods.
Produces 1 FE/t per RPM.
Uses 2 SU per RPM.
Supports shaft connections on both ends.
Exchanges energy with neighboring blocks that support FE storage.
Electric Motor — FE to Rotation
Turn stored Forge Energy into rotational power and bring electrical machines into your Create factory.
Runs at 64 RPM.
Provides 256 SU of stress capacity.
Consumes 160 FE/t while running.
Waits until its internal energy buffer is sufficiently charged before starting, helping prevent flickering.
Monitor the Wind
The Anemometer helps you find suitable locations for wind power and troubleshoot your turbines.
Use it to measure wind strength at your current altitude or inspect a turbine to check its status.
Running: Displays current RPM and the amount of unobstructed rotor area.
Too Low: The turbine is below Y=40.
Blocked: Obstacles interfere with the rotor; smoke helps indicate the problem.
No Wind: The current dimension does not support wind.
Getting Started
Start small. Craft a solar panel and place it outside with an unobstructed view of the sky.
Connect your machines. Use shafts and gears to transfer rotational power into your factory.
Reach for the sky. Build wind turbines at higher elevations and keep their rotor areas clear.
Explore alternative energy. Use lava for geothermal power or flowing water for hydropower.
Go electric. Add a Dynamo to generate FE or an Electric Motor to power your Create machinery with electricity.
Scale up. Combine multiple generators to create a power network that fits your factory's needs.
Crafting and Progression
Create: Power uses Create's familiar materials and crafting style, making its machines feel at home in your existing factory.
Crafting recipes include:
Solar Cells and Solar Panels — Blue Stained Glass, Copper Sheets, Brass Casings, and Shafts.
Generator Coils — Copper Ingots and Andesite Alloy.
Geothermal and Combustion Generators — Brass components, Generator Coils, and additional machine parts.
Water Turbines and Vertical Wind Rotors — Rotor Blades, Andesite Casings, Generator Coils, and Shafts.
Dynamo and Electric Motor — Generator Coils combined with Create components and redstone.
Wind Turbines and Accessories — Upgradeable turbine sizes, Rotor Blades, Wind Towers, and the Anemometer.
All recipes are designed around Create's progression and materials.
