A small mod that turns FTB Quests progress into a server-authoritative leaderboard for competing teams and individual players.
Quick answer
Which QuestRank release should I use?
questrank-0.1.0.jar targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 4 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is QuestRank required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does questrank-0.1.0.jar need?
questrank-0.1.0.jar. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install FTB Teams (NeoForge), FTB Quests (NeoForge), FTB Library (NeoForge), Architectury API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 14 come through another mod in the chain.
14 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does QuestRank add?
Turn Your Quests into a Competition!
QuestRank transforms FTB Quests progression into a live leaderboard where every completed quest brings you closer to the top.
Playing with friends? Join forces with your party and climb the rankings together, or make your mark as a solo player. Whether you're exploring, building, fighting bosses, or tackling a massive quest pack, your achievements help determine who leads the way.
QuestRank adds a shared goal to modded survival servers, letting everyone see who's making progress — without spreadsheets, manual updates, or complicated setup.
Features
- Team and Individual Rankings — Party teams and solo players appear together on one server-wide leaderboard.
- Party-Based Scoring — Each party counts as a single participant, with its combined progress displayed in one entry.
- Automatic Solo Participation — Players who aren't in a party are included automatically, with no registration or special setup.
- Live Progress Tracking — Every entry displays completed quests out of the total, exact completion percentage, and a readable progress bar.
- Detailed Party Tooltips — View party members' faces and names, including whether they're online or offline.
- A Proper Podium — The leader and top three entries receive distinct visual treatment, without granting any gameplay advantages.
- Responsive Large Rankings — Virtualized rows keep the interface responsive, even with long participant lists.
- Automatic Updates — Quest progress, party changes, and quest catalog reloads are reflected without manually refreshing the leaderboard.
- Server-Authoritative Rankings — The server calculates the scores and sends the results to clients, ensuring everyone sees the same ranking.
- Configurable Hotkeys
How It Works
QuestRank reads the progress maintained by FTB Quests and turns it into a shared ranking for the entire server.
- One quest, one point — Every quest in the computable catalog counts once per participant.
- Repeatable quests count only once — Repeating a quest doesn't grant additional ranking points.
- Your FTB data stays authoritative — QuestRank reflects FTB Quests' existing progress instead of creating a separate progress database or rewriting quest data.
For Server Owners and Modpack Authors
QuestRank is designed to work with both the server and client installed.
- Straightforward setup — No per-player commands, registration, or manual score management.
- Works with existing progression — No separate quest system or progress migration for existing worlds.
- Configurable quest exclusions — Exclude quests from the ranking using the
questrank_excludedtag, enabled by default as the exclusion tag. - Automatic recalculation — Rankings are rebuilt from live FTB Quests data when necessary, reflecting changes to progress and the quest catalog.
Every Quest Counts
Whether you're racing ahead alone or helping your party reach the top, every achievement contributes to your place on the board.
Who will rise to the top?
Compatibility Notes
- CustomSkinLoader is optional. QuestRank does not require it to function.
- CustomSkinLoader testing: Version 15.1 was tested with an Ely.by skin. Other CustomSkinLoader skin sources have not been exhaustively verified.
- FTB Quests and party state: Administrative quest resets and party merges or splits are reflected according to the state provided by FTB. QuestRank does not independently reinterpret or compensate for these changes.
- Tested with: NeoForge 21.1.250, FTB Library 2101.1.37, FTB Quests 2101.1.36 and FTB Teams 2101.1.11.
