About this project

What does Moos Medieval Forging add?

Thanks for checking out MMF! This is a simple mod to increase progression time. feel like your progressing too fast? add this to your modpack! Seemless integration with other mods, does not add new blocks, only adds items and edits previous recipes. I recommend you have jei installed to see all the recipes your gonna need!

so.... where do I start? first of all, why not start with some stone?

get some stone, and some more stone.

make a furnace, smelt the stone, and put that in ur crafter. now you have some stones. get some leather and sticks and you have stone tools. stone...stone...stone...

IT STARTS WITH A IRON and a hammer.

you'll see iron still exists for maximum compatibility with other mods. you cant craft tools with plain iron anymore, try putting the iron in a furnace and youll get a easily forged ingot with a hammer. Put 3 raw iron ore in a crafting table and get an ore chunk, put that in a furnace and youll get a LARGE forgable ingot. kills some cows, get leather strips and put them all in a crafting table and see what you get! (applys to iron and gold.)

um and the weapons?...

HOW DO I MAKE SWORDS???

to make progression a little harder I decided to make swords harder to get. to make swords you need a sword mold, large hot iron ingot, hammer and a dream... or a smithing table. put them all in the smithing table and you get a blade head. now just like the tools put the blade head, leather strips, sticks and a hammer in a crafting table and enjoy. (iron and gold)

what about diamond? i decided to let you guys have it easy at diamonds. in fact, crafting diamond weapons/tools only requires 2 diamonds per tool..._ so only 1 less..._ but to craft diamond tools you need the corresponding iron conterpart. put 2 diamonds horizontal to the iron head in a crafting table and you have a diamond encrusted head ready for tools.

THE ARMORS EVEN HARDER TO GET.

since armor is so hard to get i decided to make leather much easier to get. to make leather armor you need garment leather and leather strips. to easily get garment leather and strips put leather in a stonecutter and recieve 2x leather in garment leather, put garment leather in a crafter for 2x strips.

heres where it gets hard... again... iron armor requires iron plates (so essentially 3 iron). from iron you can create gold and diamond plates. make sure to heat your gold up!

would love to see this in some modpacks, it should extend playtime by a few hours. for unrealistically realistic gameplay.

now for some serious talk please leave problems in the comments, really you shouldnt have any problems just tossing this in your modpack since it only adds recipes and items. i didnt change any major stuff for max compatibility with modpacks and other mods. it might be useful to have a mod that increase ore spawning in general since your gonna be farming so much. stone and leather armor will be your best friends early game, i recommend you upgrade them. whats the cloth for? dunno. if you want to use this mod as a dependency you could use the cloth in your own projects. THIS MOD IS INSPIRED BY VINTAGE STORYS GRULING GRIND!!!
