About this project
What does Polidium add?
Polidium
Polidium is a client-side Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 performance mod
with a complete replacement terrain/chunk renderer, optimized rendering
pipelines, and an in-game video-options screen.
What this actually changes
The renderer replaces Minecraft's vanilla chunk-rendering implementation. It
adds asynchronous chunk meshing, optimized chunk visibility and face culling,
GPU buffers designed for terrain rendering, reduced CPU allocations, more
efficient block/entity rendering, and configurable renderer options. This is
a real terrain-renderer mod, not just an entity-distance setting.
