Features
Search items across every known chest Open a container once and WorldSearch remembers what’s inside. Type an item name, an enchantment like mending, or a custom name, and see every container that holds it, sorted by distance. Items inside shulker boxes and bundles are searched too.
Find specific blocks and containers Chests, barrels, shulker boxes, furnaces, hoppers, spawners, beacons, beds, enchanting tables and more are remembered as soon as you see them, even if you never opened them. Search “barrel” or “spawner” to list them.
Remember locations across sessions Everything is saved per world or server, so your searches work after you restart the game. If you break a container, WorldSearch removes it from its list when it notices.
Waypoint directly to matching containers Click a result and a highlight appears around the container, visible through walls, with a beam pointing up to it. A HUD arrow shows direction and distance. The waypoint clears when you open the container.
Search across dimensions Results include the Overworld, Nether and End. If your target is in another dimension, the HUD tells you which one and gives the matching portal coordinates between the Overworld and the Nether.
How to use Press K (rebindable in Controls) or type /ws to open the search screen. Press Enter to waypoint the top result, or click any result. Click the x on a row to forget that location. Filters: dim:nether, block:barrel
Commands
/ws find <query> opens the screen with a search already typed /ws clear removes the current waypoint /ws stats shows how many places are remembered /ws forgetall erases all remembered data for the current world Good to know WorldSearch only knows what you have seen or opened. A container you haven’t opened shows up as “not opened yet” and won’t match item searches. It is client-side only, so it works in singleplayer and on servers without the server installing anything. Data is stored in config/worldsearch. Requirements Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 Fabric Loader 0.16.0 or newer Fabric API
