About this project
What does Couplings Continued add?
Runs on: Minecraft 26.3, 1.21 to 1.21.11 and 1.20.3 to 1.20.4 (Fabric); 1.21, 1.21.1, 1.21.3 to 1.21.5, 1.21.8, 1.21.10 and 1.21.11 (NeoForge); 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.19.2 to 1.19.4 and 1.18.2 (Forge). Server-side only, so vanilla players can join.
Open one door of a double door and the other opens with it. Trapdoors in a row along a wall or a floor open together, and so do fence gates stacked above each other. Redstone couples them too, as long as the signal is strong enough (8 or more), so a weak signal still moves a single block when you want it to.
This is a continuation of Couplings by Chloe Dawn (Apache-2.0, over seven million downloads, last released for 1.20.1), ported to Minecraft 26.3 with full credit; the original author is not involved. The port moved the hooks to the start and end of the vanilla methods so it survives small vanilla changes, dropped the client sync (the mod is now purely server-side), and uses a plain config file.
- coupleDoors, coupleFenceGates, coupleTrapdoors and ignoreSneaking (couple even while sneaking) in config/couplings/couplings.properties
- Works for villagers and other mods that open doors through the normal door code
- Coupling reaches up to 64 blocks along a row or a stack
Compatibility: Minecraft 26.3 with Fabric Loader 0.20.1 and Fabric API. Java 25. Server-side: runs on dedicated servers and on the integrated server in singleplayer; other players install nothing. Licence: Apache-2.0, continued from Couplings by Chloe Dawn with the original licence and notice included in the jar.
