About this project

What does TekTopia Thief add?

This is an addon mod to the TekTopia mod that adds a Thief. The Thief is a passive mob that will try to steal village items from your storage.

If you have the TekTopia Information mod installed, the Thief will be visible in the Enemies section, and in the map.

The Thief will only spawn during the night and will make their way to your storage to steal an item. If the thief is able to steal a item from your storage, they will immediately run away and try to escape the village.

The more villagers you have in your village, the more often the Thief will appear. This can be configured in the settings.

To disable the spawning of the Thief, just rotate your storage token in the frame.

The thief has two ranges - avoidance and detection.

Avoidance range - This is always the same and if a villager enters this range and can see the thief, the thief will try to flee from the villager to a safe location.
Detection range - This range depends on the level of the thief and the light level of the block they are standing on. If the light level is low, then the detection range is also lower, so the thief is able to get closer to the villagers without detection. If a villager enters the detection range, the thief will be spotted and the village will be alerted. The thief will then run away and try to leave the village.

Note: If the thief dies and they stole something from the storage, the item will be dropped onto the ground, so you can retrieve it

Included are the following commands

Force spawn a thief. Using the command will fail if one or more spawn conditions fail.

/thief spawn <level> [me]

<level> is a value between 1 and 5, and is the level of the thief, 1 = beginner and 5 = expert.

[me] this is optional and if included, the thief will spawn near the player, rather than at the village border.

This is a Client/Server Side mod, if you play on a server this mod must be installed on both the server and client. If playing single player, then it only needs to be installed on the client.
