About this project
What does Tinkers' Archery add?
Are you missing bows and arrows in Tinkers Construct 3? Well, I did too, so I made them myself.
I didn't just try to emulate bows from 1.12, I tried to change up the system. For bows, instead of two bowlimbs and a bowstring, it is a bowshaft, a guide, and a bowstring. Though that difference pales in comparison to the arrows differences.
For arrows, you know how they fall? Well, these arrows might not fall the way you expect them too. That's right, they follow different trajectories. Determined by the fletching, you can have an arrow that can fall normally, fly upwards before falling, twirl in the air, and more!
Also, since there can be head materials with bow traits, I decided to add 3:
Tantalum -
Tier 2
Has good stats for bows, but subpar stats for non bows
When used in a bow, its trait is Accurate, making the bow more accurate
When not used in a bow, its trait is Finishing, causing your weapon to deal more damage to enemies at low health
Cobalt Tantalum -
Tier 3
Stats are a mix of Tantalum and Cobalt
When used in a bow, its trait is Weighty, causing arrows to be heavier and follow more favorable trajectories
When not used in a bow, its trait is Swiftstrike, causing your weapon to deal more damage the faster you move
Niillite -
Tier 4
Stats are good for bows, but again subpar for non bows
When used in a bow, its trait is Groovy, causing consecutive drawings of the bow to be faster
When not used in a bow, its trait is Chaining, causing your weapon to deal massive damage for one hit after killing an enemy
In regards to permission to use this in your modpack, don't ask. You are free to use this in your modpack, but don't rehost this mod. Such requests for use in your modpack will be ignored.
