Quick answer

Which SIathora release matches Quilt?

Updated 15 days ago
alpha file a120
Game version 1.21, 1.21.1
Loader Fabric, Quilt

SIathora a120 targets 1.21, 1.21.1 with Fabric, Quilt. Installation on the client is optional. Installation on the dedicated server is optional. 1 required mod needs a matching file.

Where it goes

Is SIathora required on the client, server, or both?

Installation on the client is optional. Installation on the dedicated server is optional.

Client Optional
Dedicated server Optional
Loader for this release Fabric, Quilt
Required install it here Optional supported, not mandatory Not supported do not install here Source doesn’t say do not assume

The source marks this as usable on both the client and server.

What else does SIathora a120 need?

a120 on Quilt. Every mod below is checked against that same setup.

1 required mod needs a matching file

Install Fabric API, riamphur, Mathimations first, but 1 required mod has no matching file for this setup. Do not mix loader builds to force a match.

Mathimations Needed by SIathora a120

We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

Before you install it

Add SIathora without breaking your instance.

Built for SIathora a120 on Quilt. Pick another file and the loader, install side or required mods may change.

  1. 01

    Stick to this file

Use a120. It targets 1.21, 1.21.1 with Fabric, Quilt; another release may have different loader, side or dependency requirements.

  2. 02

    Bring the mods it needs

Install Fabric API, riamphur, Mathimations first, but 1 required mod has no matching file for this setup. Do not mix loader builds to force a match.

  3. 03

Put it on the correct side

Installation on the client is optional. Installation on the dedicated server is optional.

  4. 04

    Pick the file you checked

Use the “Get this file” button beside a120. It opens that exact file at the source.

About this project

What does SIathora add?

Mod Icon

Siathora

Siathora is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that lets you turn ordinary tamed animals into powerful companions. Collect souls from killed mobs, then give them to your siathora companion.

Depending on which souls you use, your companion gains new stats and abilities, slowly transforming into something much stronger (and stranger) than the animal it started as.

Help wanted

The current state of the mod is a mess. I'm looking for artists (people who can make MC models and texture them).

If you wish to help me, contact me or make an issue. See Contributing below for what's needed most.

Any type of help (even coding) is appreciated.

What is included (spoilers?)

The idea

Killing entities gives you souls (See Riamphur to understand how to obtain souls).
Use souls of dead entities to make your companion stronger.
Based on which soul type you give to your companions, different stats will change and abilities will be introduced.

Entities

Wolvein

Wolvein pic here

When you give 10 souls to your doggie, it will transform into this Siathora-swayed entity.
Giving more souls to this creature increases the Siathora sway, which increases the stats based on the soul type and gives it more abilities.

If this creature happens to die, it drops a Siathora echo, which can be used on other Siathora-swayed entities to give them the souls the dead creature had.

Tracked attributes:

  • Damage
  • Health
    • Regeneration
  • Defence (resistance)
    • Fall damage negation
    • Rider protection
    • Pounce splash damage zone radius
  • Speed
    • Siathora essence capacity
    • Jump strength
    • Protect range

  • Pounce dash attack (Hostile 40%+)
  • Slashing infliction (Hostile 40%)
  • Fire immunity (Boss-like 40%)
  • Threaten infliction (Boss-like 40%)
  • Trap avoidance (Player 60%)
  • Extended inventory (Player 20%)

and much more that I cannot recall and/or find in the code

Feiren

To create this creature, a medium or higher sized echo has to be given to a fox.
After giving this creature enough souls, it will grow wings, allowing flight.

Tracked attributes:

  • Damage multiplier
  • Health multiplier
    • Regeneration
  • Speed
    • Siathora essence capacity
    • Protect range
    • Flight speed

Abilities:

  • Breath damage (Hostile 30%+)
  • Breath capacity (Boss-like 30%+)
  • Life steal

Installation

  1. Download the mod from Modrinth.
  2. Make sure you have Fabric Loader installed for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  3. Install these two required libraries alongside Siathora:

The mod will not work without both libraries installed.

Lore ??

There is a god called "Siathora," who is a goddess of canids.
This goddess is losing her power to other gods and is desperately trying to move it elsewhere.
This is where she interacts with the player (does not happen in-game) and gives them control over soul binding.

Basically, there can be more than one soul tied to a creature. Those are called soul sways.
These souls, if added correctly (there is stability and aggression in-game), cooperate together to boost the physical capacity of the creature they are bound to.

The altar was originally supposed to be a transmission system between the goddess and the player, but I wanted to keep the mod relatively simple for the players.
Not everyone wants to consume LORE when they are trying out a mod.
