What is this mod?

The purpose of this project is to remove spiritism and violence where possible, while maintaining most mechanics—specifically, trying to keep Minecraft fun and balanced.

Quickstart

To use the mod, simply move the downloaded file to the mods folder of the compatible fabric instance you want to use it on. Restart the game for changes to take effect. For more info, see the installation docs.

Why use this mod?

The Bible instructs us to "abhor what is wicked" - Romans 12:9, New World Translation. Avoiding entertainment that could corrupt morals or include spiritism, for religious and conscientious reasons, were our primary motivation to create this project. If you share these morals or views then you may choose to use this project. Other potential users may include parents or guardians who prefer not to expose their children to content that infringes on their conscience or that they do not deem age-appropriate for their children. You could also try it just for fun, to test the changes and see how they affect gameplay!
Whatever the case, the mod offers a very similar play-style to the base game; if not, it's slightly more relaxed, due to the lesser amounts of hostile mobs (especially at night). However, the mobs removed may result in higher quantities of other mobs: the game usually will try to fill the mob cap with whatever it can. Watch out for creepers!

Why does this mod only support Fabric?

Making this project a mod was necessary to modify minecraft features and structures that are not yet data-driven. We decided that supporting only one mod loader was easiest. We might support more in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
