ABOUT
Cluttered adds a variety of furniture, decor, and blocks designed with building in mind! Everything is craftable and can be obtained in survival. Some blocks even have secret functionality ;) There are hundreds of blocks in this mod, and plenty of plans for future updates. Feel free to join the Discord or comment down below if you have any specific requests!
A lot of the blocks in this mod are inspired by some of my favorite games, including Overwatch, Animal Crossing, the Sims, Starbound, Terraria, and more!
The older versions of this mod were done entirely by me, using MCreator. However, with YellowChuJelly’s help, we’ve rebuilt the entire mod from scratch. It’s now properly coded (finally), and all the models have been updated/remade! It also features paintings by a couple of my friends :D
FAQ
Updating my world to Cluttered 3.0?
As always, before updating be sure to BACK UP your world. Since the code has been entirely rewritten and the mod ID has been changed, Cluttered 3.0 is essentially an entirely different mod than previous versions. Before updating, make sure to remove any items you have stored in Cluttered blocks from a previous version, as these inventories will disappear. If you’re a server owner, make sure to alert players to this before updating the mod.
All that being said, updating should replace MOST blocks and furniture with the new versions, if they exist (again, this does NOT include inventory storage). This can be turned off in the configs, but it must be done so BEFORE loading into the world the first time. You do not need to keep the old version installed for blocks to update.
Can you port to 1.x.x?
The first 3.0 release will just be for Forge 1.20.1. For later versions, we will be switching to Neoforge. We’re also planning to start work on a Fabric port soon. We’d like to release Cluttered for as many versions as possible, but right now we’re just focusing on the major versions.
Do blocks have functionality?
Yes! As of the rewrite, all beds, chairs, and storage blocks work as intended. We have also included additional functionality to certain blocks.
How do I get the saplings?
The saplings can be obtained through the Wandering Trader or village/dungeon chests.
How do I add the trim to the wallpaper?
The hand drill item can be used to cycle through block variants. This can be used for wallpapers, the marble/chalcedony/etc sets, and more!
Why does the shading look weird on some of my furniture?
If you're using the MCreator version, this can be fixed by turning off Smooth Lighting in the settings.
