Explore beyond the Overworld, discover Aftonite, and take your equipment a step further.

Aftonite Additions expands Minecraft’s mining and equipment progression with familiar ores in the Nether, a rare material in the End, and new tools, armor, shields, and building blocks.

Bring mining to the Nether

Find Nether variants of coal, iron, diamond, emerald, lapis, and redstone ores while exploring the dimension. Netherrack Redstone Ore even reacts to footsteps and interactions with the familiar light and particles of vanilla redstone ore.

Discover Aftonite in the End

Search the End for Aftonite, a rare material that opens the door to equipment beyond Netherite.

Combine an Aftonite Upgrade Smithing Template, an Aftonite Block, and your Netherite equipment at a smithing table to create Aftonite gear. A complete armor set grants fire resistance and lets you crouch to descend while affected by levitation.

Put your extra Aftonite to work with decorative blocks, bricks, slabs, stairs, and walls.

Explore the End Tower

Discover the End Tower, a structure filled with treasure and a Shulker spawner. Its chests offer End City-style loot, with a chance to find the Aftonite Upgrade Smithing Template.

The mod also includes Aftonite and Netherite shields, a collectible Shulker Bullet ingredient, and craftable levitation potions.

Give Aftonite a glow

With compatible shaders and emission settings enabled, Aftonite’s purple details can glow across its items, shields, worn armor, and ore. Without shaders, everything uses normal Minecraft lighting.

Shader support and settings vary. Some shader packs may need additional compatibility setup for their ore-glow effects.
