About this project
What does TimberTweak add?
TimberTweak is a mod adding a new way to chop trees and, by extension, new shapes for log blocks.
It is a Fabric mod running with Fabric API in 1.20.4.
The main goal is to make the survival game a bit more realistic by making a tree log taking multiple "damages"/ break before being able to get the block.
Mod showcase in video (1m30)

The player's direction when chopping the log will make the log reduce its thickness in the same direction.
It means this mod handles all six possible directions when chopping a log. (up, down, east, west, south, north)

Each log block has 4 thicknesses (from full block to one quarter of a block).
Please note that the tool is only damaged once, at the final thickness.

Some examples of chopped logs
You can also replace the top log texture to the normal wood texture by simply clicking on the block while sneaking with empty hand.

Same examples of chopped logs than previously, but with replaced textures
Decoration feature
Moreover, with a bit of creativity, you can use this new way of sculpting log blocks to make new decorations purposes, such as wall, roof, small alley, stairs or simply adding more 3D to a building.

A little woody-border for leaves !

A normal tree enhanced with some sculpted log blocks, making roots.

A Well built using various thicknesses for the bottom part, making it less "blocky", and also for the roof.
Misc
- A silk touch enchanted axe will make any log block instantly destroyed, like in the vanilla game.
- All overworld log block is supporting TimberTweak.
- Tool is only damaged once, at the final thickness.
Possible Updates
- Add the blocks shapes in creative inventory.
- Make props supported on the shapes blocks (such as flower pot, torches...)
- Anything you could suggests me.
Roadmap & notes
