When Enchantment Description is installed, enchantment tooltip will show its tier and group:
- Enchantments are separated into 3 tiers: Basic, Advanced, and Legendary. Basic enchantments can appear on loot gears, or be enchanted from Celestial Enchanting Table. Advanced and Legendary enchantments can only be obtained from Celestial Enchanting Table.
- Enchantments have groups: Enchantments with similar effects are grouped together, and enchantments in the same group conflicts with each other. Try to have 1 enchantment from each group!
- Enchantments will show quantified effect description, and when you press alt, it will show how those numbers are calculated from enchantment levels
- Over-level enchantments will be treated as the max level enchantments for balancing reason. For example, if you obtain an enchantment with level V while the maximum is level III, the enchantment will still be calculated and displayed as level III
Celestial Table use a different ingredient than lapis: Celestial Catalysts. 3 options are for the 3 enchantment tiers, and each tier of enchanting requires catalyst of the corresponding tier.
Higher tier has higher chance to generated cursed enchantments, so you need to use the blacklisting feature to prevent cursed enchantments from generating: Enchanted books in Chiseled Bookshelves around the table provides black list for enchanting, but decrease 1 enchantment level for each of the enchantments in the blacklist.
Gears with higher enchantment affinity will increase the number and quality of enchantments, and reduce the chance of curses.
Enchantments from this mod are mostly combat based. There are 14 types of enchantments, and only one enchantments from one type can appear.
- General - Applicable to all items with durability. Provide durability related effects
- Curse - Negative effects
- Inflict - Applicable to sword type items. Inflict effects on hit.
- Blade / Berserk / Epic - Applicable to sword type items. Increase damage conditionally. Blade has relatively easier condition and lower bonus, and Epic has relatively harsher condition and higher bonus.
- Death - Armor enchantments. Have effects activating when you or your allies died.
- Armor Effect - Armor enchantments. Provide constant or conditional effects.
- Reactive - Armor enchantments. Activated when you are damaged.
- Experience - Armor enchantments. Give experience collection bonus, with conditions.
- Protect - Armor enchantments. Reduce certain types of damage
- Arrow - Bow enchantments. Increase arrow damage under certain conditions
- Arrow Effect - Bow enchantments. Do certain things when arrow hit target. Such as explosion or pulling surrounding entities together
- Shield - Enchantments on shield
- Trident - Enchantments on trident
- Utility - Enchantments on tool
The attack damage bonuses are added together. For example, if you have a sword of 10 damage with +50% damage enchantment and +100% damage enchantment, the final result will be 10*(1+50%+100%)=25 instead of 10*150%*200%=30
