Summary
Avian
Avians can tame animals, and some animals will automatically trust them.
When harvesting crops with a hoe, they can drop more items.

Avians can receive golden variants of crops.
Glistering Melons can be eaten.

Avians can toggle Slow Falling on or off.
Arachnid
- Arachnids can use a webshot to pull themselves towards mobs and blocks.
- Arachnid melee attacks have a chance to inflict poison.
- Mining speed is no longer slowed while climbing.
- Arachnids are shorter and can fit through 1-block spaces while sneaking.
- Fall damage is only taken from falls greater than 16 blocks.
- Arachnids can craft 9 string into 1 cobweb.
Elytrian
- Elytrians can choose different visual styles for their elytra.
- They can launch into the sky from the ground or ascend while gliding, which consumes stamina.
- Elytrians can wear any armor, but Heavy Armor reduces or prevents the ascend/launch ability and costs more stamina.
- Gliding now also provides a +50% damage boost to ranged attacks.
- Players can right-click an Elytrian to ride and fly with them.
- Ability contributed by AnimGoated.
Shulk
- Shulks have a base armor value of 3.
- While sneaking, Shulks gain up to 7 additional defense.
- 1 bonus defense is lost if they take a hit dealing more than 3 hearts of damage.
- Shulks can shoot shulker bullets or apply levitation to themselves.
Feline
- Feline can deal alternating attacks with offhand claws if the offhand is empty but they need to be sharpened using blocks in this order:
- Logs or wool
- Smooth stone, Polished stones
- Iron blocks
- Diamond blocks
- Felines can charge a high jump by sneaking.
- Felines break stone 50% slower.
- Some tough stone types cannot be broken.
- This can be worked around using strength or efficiency.
- Food made from Fish provides more hunger and saturation to Felines.
- Felines can toggle Night Vision on or off.
Enderian
- Enderians have increased height and reach.
- Enderians will dodge incoming projectiles.
- Teleporting with an ender pearl grants an invincibility window against suffocation.
- Enderians can use Silk Touch on blocks if they are not holding any tools.
- Not Available in 1.20.1.
Merling
- Merlings can craft tridents.
- Merlings have a body moisture level they must manage to avoid drying out.
- Conduit Power lasts longer for Merlings and delays drying out.
- Trident projectile and melee attacks deal more damage if the Merling is underwater.
- Merlings can dash forward underwater while swimming.
- Merlings naturally spawn in ocean biomes.
Blazeborn
- Blazeborn can set themselves on fire.
- While on fire, they can light Campfires, Furnaces, and Brewing Stands.
- In addition to a 25% damage increase, hitting targets causes them to burn for 6 seconds.
- Blazeborn move slightly faster in lava, have better vision, and can swim when submerged.
- Blazeborn can shoot a burst of 3 Fireballs.
Phantom
- Phantom Form and phasing consume soul energy instead of hunger.
- Actively phasing drains soul energy much faster than simply using phantom form.
- Soul Energy regenerates naturally but regenerates faster when killing mobs or being near soul fire.
- Golden items and blocks repel phantoms.
- Phantoms cannot eat golden food.
- Phantoms cannot wear golden armor.
- Phantoms cannot use golden tools.
- Phantoms cannot phase through solid gold blocks.
- Phantoms can sense the location of mobs and players behind walls by making them glow.
