About this project
What does Vanilla Stoneblock add?
Stoneblock
This Datapack / Adventure Map lets you experience our Vanilla Twist on the StoneBlock FTB Mod Pack by Sunekaer. There is a specific path of progression we had in mind when creating this, but ultimately, you can choose your path and what you want to do. There is also an Advancement Progression Tree to help you along if you get stuck, but a full guide will be on the Wiki Page (WIP). Whether you have a fun simple experience or venture to try and beat the Ender Dragon is up to you.
Important Notices / FAQ / Features
- You CANNOT get onto the Bedrock Roof, you will be teleported down to (0,64,0) if you do.
- The Nether and Overworld has a Bedrock Roof and Floor, but The End doesn't have either.
- The only other non-standard feature is the Wandering Trader can spawn below the roof, normally it spawns on the highest block. It will spawn more frequently than normal if you clear out enough area. (I don't like the idea of people spending so much time afking, it isn't a fun mechanic; its a waste of electricity).
- The only structures that spawn are:
- Fortresses
- Strongholds
- Monuments
- Outposts
- Witch Huts
- End Cities
- Structures that spawn SHOULD NOT have any loot chests/gold blocks (monuments). The End City does have the Elytra though. This is done for balancing, as getting iron or water easily would drastically change progression.
- This Datapack utilizes Custom Terrain generation and is likely NOT compatible with other worldgen changing mods or data packs.
- The biomes are still the in the world, which means that you could have a bad spawn biome and might want to try a different seed to use.
Contents
Starting Room
You start with a moss block, a grass block, a dead bush, and an empty chest to mock you. Some other hidden items may be around. With this, you can collect enough materials to get to The End and beat the Ender Dragon, but that is for you to figure out.
Technically you only need the Moss Block to beat the game, but there is one item added somewhere that helps drastically reduce the time needed for progression, and prevents progression from being a coin flip. Additionally, if you play with the vanilla Experimental Trading Features enabled, there is an even faster route.
Experimental Trading Hint
One of the features added is being able to buy emeralds from the Wandering Trader, which results in earlier emeralds and a much faster progression!Bonus Room
This contains 25 sand and a lava source block. Without this lava, you cannot get to the nether. There may be something else to help your progress as well...
Archived
This project is archived. Like all of my archived projects, I am giving anyone explicit permission to re-upload it/continue updating it for future Minecraft versions. If you do this, I would greatly appreciate you crediting me as the original creator. I would also appreciate it if you let me know if you do this, because I would love to see people carrying on the same projects I had so much passion for in the moment.
