FancyName
Client side stylized nicknames. Visible to all FancyName users!
Quick answer
Which FancyName release should I use?
FancyName 1.1.1+26.3 targets 26.3 with Fabric. It must be installed on the client. Do not install it on the dedicated server. All 4 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is FancyName required on the client, server, or both?
It must be installed on the client. Do not install it on the dedicated server.
This file is marked client-only.
What else does FancyName 1.1.1+26.3 need?
1.1.1+26.3. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Fabric API, YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), Fabric Language Kotlin, adventure-platform-mod first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 1 comes through another mod in the chain.
1 extra mod was pulled in by another dependency. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does FancyName add?
Nick yourself—or stylize your existing username. Everyone using the mod will be able to see your nickname on any server.
Usage
In-game, type /fancy set <nickname>
It is recommended to keep your original username text the same, as some people have the 'Style Changes Only' option enabled.
Styling
FancyName uses MiniMessage for styling. Full MiniMessage format options can be found here.
It may be more convient for you to use a GUI to create MiniMessage styles. Here are a few MiniMessage GUI options:
- RGBirdflop - Generate gradient names with ease. Make sure to set 'Color Format' to 'MiniMessage'
- RGBirdflop Advanced - Full Minecraft text editor, compatible with MiniMessage.
- MiniMessage Web Editor - Full MiniMessage editor.
Examples
/fancy set <gradient:#FF76C1:#FFFFFF>yazilie</gradient>
/fancy set <b><red>NOT</red></b> <gradient:red:white>yazilie</gradient>

- Disable nicknames in the player list
