About this project

About

Rinku is a library mod that makes it possible to render a fully controllable Chromium-based browser in Minecraft. Other mods can use this mod to implement simple browser views and other browser-based things, like video players, or even web-based menus.

Keep in mind this is a library mod! This mod will do NOTHING on its own and needs other mods that utilize its features to make it do something!

Rinku has a lot of advantages over the original MCEF, such as:

  • A way more modern CEF/Chromium version.
  • Uncapped FPS with 60FPS by default, and support for 120+ when mods manually set it.
  • Modernized code with lots of performance and compatibility improvements.
  • An actual UI for changing Rinku's settings, accessed via Mod Menu on Fabric and the Mods menu on NeoForge/Forge!
