About this project

What does Thermal Shock add?

THIS MOD REQUIRES GECKOLIB AND AAA PARTICLES

Thermal Shock is a progression and combat focused dimension mod featuring Loqendia, the Endless Garden. A once lush and thriving realm, now cursed with an eternal winter, and infested with the undead.

COMING SOON: Version 07, CODENAME TS:R

Thermal Shock's biggest update EVER is coming sometime this year! TS:R will introduce brand new frigid biomes, eclectic NPCs, dozens of mobs and unique weapons, alongside overhauling nearly every aspect of the mod. STAY TUNED!!!

NEW: Version 06, THE THERMO-FEBRUARY 2026 UPDATE

We're celebrating TWO YEARS of development, this update adds a cozy new Gardening system, inspired by PvZ's Zen Garden, along with numerous miscellaneous additions and improvements! :D

Entering Loqendia

The dimension can be accessed with a Keystone, which you will be prompted to retrieve early on. Using it on a 3x3 obsidian platform will create the Atlas, granting access to Loqendia.

New Dimension

Loqendia is a vast frozen expanse containing various new flora and fauna. Bright new wood types can be found along with a multitude of stone variants. A large roster of wildlife populate the surface, while hordes of hostiles and old constructs lurk underground.

Ores

The main set of Thermal Shock's tools and armor is crafted with Ruby ore, ranking at around diamond tier.
Other ores feature more niche uses, or are not bound to a specific tier of equipment.

Zenith Upgrades

Zenith Smithing Templates are used for unlocking Set Bonuses of Loqendian armor sets, granting the wearer a passive buff if they have a full matching set of Zenith armor equipped.
They can be found on occasion in most structures.

Alternate Ore Generation

Not all worlds will generate the same set of ores. Some worlds will generate Bloodstone over Ruby, some will generate Bismuth over Malachite.
Alternative ores can be converted into their counterparts and vice versa. All ores are obtainable through structure loot, too.

Fabricator

A special crafting station which uses an unconventional system. Instead of requiring a specific shape on a grid, Fabricator recipes call for large amounts of materials which are pulled directly from your inventory.
Items crafted with the Fabricator range from specialized armor pieces to heavy firearms.

Soundtrack

Thermal Shock has a massive OST made by yours truly. Most of it is already in the mod as BGM and music discs, but if you want MORE music, each major version comes with a little addon for the Music Triggers mod, adding even more music for certain bosses and events.

(This mod is still in beta, there will be bugs. If you find any, or have any questions or suggestions regarding the mod and future updates, feel free to leave a comment somewhere on my YouTube; "ThermaDevYT.")
