About this project

What does Notches Currency add?

Notches Currency

A complete, server-side economy mod for currency, banking, player shops, an auction house, a deeply customizable NPC system, casino games, and a full suite of money sinks and faucets to keep your server's economy balanced.

Features

Currency & Banking

  • A secure, server-validated virtual balance with persistent storage and a full audit log
  • Physical coins you can carry, drop, and trade — convert to/from your balance at an ATM / Bank block
  • An always-visible balance HUD with a smooth animated counter and a custom coin symbol in chat, HUD, and on the item
  • /receipts — your recent transaction history (what moved, what for, when)

Currency Creator

Rebrand the coin for your server. Give it a custom name and artwork and it applies everywhere — the item, the HUD, the chat symbol, and every message and GUI. On a server the coin is pushed to every player automatically on join, so there's no resource pack to hand out. Want your economy to run on Rubies, Credits, or Dubloons? One PNG and a name.

Player Shops

  • Code-drawn, fully paginated browse / manage / listing screens (up to 27 listings)
  • Price in coins, a bartered item, or both at once
  • Live earnings, open/close and rent controls, and &-color-coded shop titles
  • Run by an NPC — add dialogue and shoppers get a conversation before the shop opens

Auction House

  • Buy-now and timed auctions with bidding, offline-safe outbid refunds, and a winnings mailbox
  • Fully GUI-driven: browse, list, bid, and cancel in-screen
  • Scaling, configurable listing fees and sale tax

Player-to-Player Trading

  • Secure live trades with both-party confirmation, plus offline trade offers for when the other player isn't online

Deep NPC System

One blank-slate NPC item spawns a fully customizable NPC (built on GeckoLib):

  • Appearance — vanilla humanoid, GeckoLib models, or disguise as any entity; preset / player / URL skins
  • Behaviors — stationary, wander, follow, patrol, or guard (with hostility & fight-back options)
  • Poses — presets plus a live custom-pose editor, and idle animation styles
  • A visual branching Dialogue Studio — pages, choices, per-choice actions (open a shop, pay/charge coins, give items, admin-gated commands) and requirements, with a live client-side preview
  • Quick Lines — for simple random chatter
  • Stats, protection, ownership-gated editing, saveable presets, a "pick up" that repacks the NPC into the item, and a public API for other mods

Economy Roles

Assign any NPC a role: Shop, Banker, Auctioneer, Mailbox, Raffle, Bounty, Dealer (casino), Enchanter, or Cosmetics — plus admin server-shops.

Sinks & Faucets

Keep the economy in check:

  • Faucets — bounty board, crates & keys, gambling wins, raffles, loans, world drops
  • Sinks — enchanter (repair / buy enchants / extract to book / uncraft), gambling bets, raffle cut, wealth tax, shop rent, auction fees, an optional Waystone teleport fee
  • Villager coin trades — villagers can rarely roll trades priced in coins instead of emeralds

Blocks & Casino Props

Hand-modeled, some animated:

  • ATM / Bank, Slot Machine (animated marquee), and a Coin Flip table with a 3D coin that pops up, tumbles, and lands on the result
  • Crates (Common / Rare / Epic) — arched treasure chests whose lids swing open on a win
  • Bounty Board — a two-tall notice board for the rotating bounty list
  • Ledger Board — a wide monument that renders the live balance leaderboard right on its face, in real time

World Events

Balloon crates and golden caches spawn around the world for players to find.

Admin & Config

  • /eco give|take|set|stats, a /baltop leaderboard, and a physical Ledger Board
  • Optional Discord webhook for admin-relevant transactions
  • A positional bounty-tracker HUD (toggle B), placeable so it dodges other mods' overlays
  • A full in-game settings screen (ModMenu) with live search — nearly everything is configurable

Dependencies

  • Fabric API — required
  • GeckoLib — required (the NPC system runs on it)
  • ModMenu — optional (opens the config screen)
  • Waystones — optional (enables the teleport fee)
