About this project
What does BetterCraft add?
EDIT 7/8/2023: Development is currently on hold. Will be resumed after I finished the numerous other projects I'm currently working on. Thank you for understanding. As of now, the latest version is the 0.7 beta.
BetterCraft
BetterCraft is a mod for MineCraft Beta 1.7.3 that adds many new blocks, items, and animals to make the game more interesting."Why such an old version?!"
Beta 1.7.3 is the last version of MineCraft that doesn't have sprinting, hunger, experience, or potions.
I believe those features make the game less fun and noticeably easier.
While many of the later updates had some good additions such as the ability to place slabs and stairs upside-down, the damage has already been done, and playing Minecraft b1.8+ feels different than playing the older versions.
If you would like to see a feature from modern Minecraft back-ported and implemented into this mod, either e-mail me at temp1@cubesoftware.xyz, or join the Discord server and post your suggestions there, and if I like it, I might implement it into the main branch of this mod.
I also plan on writing an "expansion pack" for this mod that would add sprinting and faster tools for those who prefer a more fast-paced game play style.
UPDATE 12/21/2022: This mod is also being ported to 1.19.2 and 1.8.9, so stay tuned if you like playing on newer versions!
This mod depends on ModLoaderMp and Forge 1.0.6, both of which can be downloaded either from the Minecraft Forums, or from MCArchive.
