About this project

What does RandomXp add?

Random XP

Random XP is a lightweight Fabric mod that gives you full control over your Minecraft XP level and progress — with a few tools designed specifically for testing, challenges, and content creation.

Features

🎲 Random XP

Use:

/x random

Generates a random XP level between 10 and 100, along with random progress between 10% and 100% toward the next level.

The XP is calculated using Minecraft's real XP curve, so the displayed bar percentage is accurate at every level.

🎯 Set Any Level

Use:

/x random <level>

Set yourself to any XP level you want — whether that's 5, 100, 911, 2000, or beyond.

The progress toward the next level is randomized automatically.

🔄 XP Animation

Use:

/x animation start

Continuously randomizes your XP level and progress.

Stop it anytime with:

/x animation off

Running the start command multiple times won't create duplicate animations.

⏱️ Custom Animation Speed

Use:

/x animation time <ticks>

Choose how frequently the XP gets randomized.

  • 20 ticks = 1 second
  • Default: 100 ticks = 5 seconds

Your selected timing is saved and persists after restarting the game or server.

✏️ Custom XP Level Text

Use:

/x name <text>

Replace the level number displayed above your XP bar with any text you want.

For example:

/x name RANDOM

Clear the custom text and restore the normal level display with:

/x name

The custom text is client-side only, so other players won't see it.

Permissions

XP manipulation commands require operator / gamemaster permission.

/x name is available to everyone.
