🌟 About Pet Bunny

Pet Bunny is a bunny-themed companion mod built around taming, personality, growth, daily life, exploration, and adventure.

Every bunny has its own appearance, personality, abilities, Starbond level, equipment, and behavior. Your bunny can stay at home, follow you across dimensions, help during combat or exploration, carry supplies, sleep in its own hutch, play with toys, and grow stronger through the time you spend together.

The project continues to expand bunny management, personality abilities, interactive items, seasonal content, and compatibility with other mods while refining stability and small gameplay details.

This mod is designed to remain bunny-friendly:

  • No rabbit meat
  • No rabbit feet
  • No harmful bunny products in bunny-related rewards
  • Bunnies are companions, not resources

🏡 Life With Your Bunny

After taming a bunny with a Dandelion or Carrot, you can choose how it should live:

Mode Behavior
🧺 Stay Remains in place and does not join normal movement or combat
🐾 Follow Travels with its owner and joins supported companion activities
🌿 Free Roaming Explores nearby areas while remaining connected to its owner and home

Tamed bunnies can:

  • Sleep and breed
  • Wear real armor
  • Use a 36-slot bunny backpack
  • Gain Starbond and level up
  • Return to their own Bunny Hutch at night
  • Help with combat, farming, archaeology, treasure, or support
  • Shed bunny fur naturally
  • Be organized into teams and recalled over long distances or across dimensions

🎭 Bunny Types & Personalities

🌱 Yellow Gray Bunny Lazy Supports crops, saplings, Nether Wart, and amethyst growth
🔥 Golden Bunny Aggressive Actively attacks hostile mobs and grows stronger during combat
💙 Blue Bunny Brave Follows its owner into battle and unlocks a powerful Berserk form
✨ White Gray Bunny Weird Summons guards, calls tracking lightning, and can gain a revival charge

🤍 White Bunny Forest, Birch Forest, Flower Forest
🖤 Black Bunny Flower Forest, Meadow
💛 Yellow Bunny Desert, Badlands, Wooded Badlands, Eroded Badlands
🍀 Small White Bunny Cherry Grove, Meadow
🌱 Yellow Gray Bunny Plains, Sunflower Plains, Meadow
🔥 Golden Bunny Badlands, Wooded Badlands, Eroded Badlands
💙 Blue Bunny Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga
✨ White Gray Bunny Dark Forest, Swamp, Mangrove Swamp

⭐ Starbond System

Every tamed bunny has its own Starbond level, from Lv.1 to Lv.10.

Starbond grows through:

  • Spending time with the owner
  • Exploring new biomes and dimensions
  • Healing and caring for the bunny
  • Participating in combat
  • Using personality abilities

Higher Starbond levels improve health, damage, speed, cooldowns, and personality abilities.

The bunny-shaped HUD displays the bunny’s name, level, health, personality, and Starbond progress. Its appearance changes while the bunny is sleeping, fighting, worried, or critically injured.

🎒 Equipment & Daily Life

Bunny Backpack

Bunnies can equip a real 36-slot backpack. Their equipment screen includes armor, backpack upgrades, feeding upgrades, stored items, and the player inventory. Personality-specific controls are also available for supported bunny abilities.

Bunny Hutch

A Bunny Hutch can be bound to one bunny. Free-roaming bunnies return to their own hutch at night, sleep inside, leave in the morning, and recover their health.

With Carry On installed, pick up your own bunny, look at a Bunny Hutch within six blocks, and press the configurable Bind Carried Bunny to Hutch key (F by default) to bind it quickly.

Bunny Toilet

Optional Bunny Poop and Bunny Urine systems add another part of bunny care. Bunny Toilets can store both types of waste.

Bunny Poop Cleaner

The Bunny Poop Cleaner is a dedicated helper with a real 32-slot backpack.

Give it:

  • Shovels to clean Bunny Poop
  • Glass Bottles to collect Bunny Urine

It can also be named, recalled, assigned a work area, and will sleep at night. Large work areas are scanned in batches to reduce sudden server load.

🧶 Starfluff Tuft & Bunny Recall

The Starfluff Tuft is crafted with an Ender Pearl surrounded by eight pieces of any bunny fur.

Action Result
Sneak + right-click a bunny or cleaner Bind or unbind that companion
Right-click while holding the item Recall all bound companions
Hold one in each hand The main-hand Starfluff Tuft takes priority
  • Stores up to 8 companions
  • Supports bunnies and Bunny Poop Cleaners
  • Works across dimensions
  • Has a 5-second recall cooldown
  • Displays bound companion names in its tooltip
  • Maximum stack size: 1

The recall system searches for the original bunny by UUID across loaded dimensions and can perform a limited, batched search around its indexed position and recorded hutch before using a validated snapshot. This improves long-distance recovery while limiting chunk-loading overhead and avoiding duplicate bunnies.

📘 Bunny Handbook

When Patchouli is installed, players receive a Bunny Handbook when they first enter a world. It can also be crafted with a book, a carrot, and a dandelion.

The handbook covers first-time taming, all eight personalities, Starbond growth, homes and care, equipment and backpacks, utility and summer items, commands, and reference information. Patchouli remains optional; without it, the handbook and its recipe are simply disabled.

☀️ Summer Collection

Cooling Mats & Parasols

The summer collection includes six bunny cooling mats, six small summer parasols, and six Giant Summer Parasols.

Giant Summer Parasols use a detailed four-block-tall model with open and closed states, animated movement, rounded canopy collision, connected ribs, state-dependent skylight shadow, and overlap protection. A dedicated remote can bind up to 64 loaded parasols and open or close them together; invalid bindings are removed automatically.

Bunny Balls

Small and large Bunny Balls are available in Ocean, Coral, Sunshine, Sunset, Watermelon, and Lavender, for a total of 12 playable balls.

  • Place, kick, strike, throw, retrieve, and roll them through the world
  • Small and large balls have different size, weight, force response, and bounce behavior
  • Nearby bunnies can play with small balls
  • Grass and passable vegetation slow balls, ice reduces friction, and water adds buoyancy and drag
  • Slime surfaces bounce, honey surfaces hold the ball, and hazardous blocks destroy it with a burst
  • Ball behavior can be extended through data-pack and modpack block tags

🗺️ Curious Reward Pools & Luck

Curious Bunny rewards are managed through editable dimension and biome pools instead of a fixed three-dimension table. Administrators can search, enable, disable, copy, reset, and edit pools and their probabilities through the in-game manager.

Search supports Chinese names, pinyin, pinyin initials, English names, and resource IDs. Luck I–V can select different reward variants, while nearby Lucky Bunnies can stack their aura to improve loot, Curious Bunny results, and dodge chances.

The "PS(Print Screen)" key provides a shortcut to open the Curious Rabbit Loot Pool Management screen. Administrator privileges are required, and the key binding can be freely changed in the controls settings.

🤝 Compatibility

Pet Bunny includes optional integration and defensive compatibility for commonly used mods:

  • Patchouli: enables the Bunny Handbook
  • Carry On: safely carries eligible bunnies and supports quick hutch binding
  • Lootr: applies Lucky bonuses to per-player containers without repeating the same bonus
  • Truly Best Friends Forever (TBF): shares compatible pet tracking, recall, restoration, and death-storage behavior for Pet Rabbit companions when TBF is installed.
  • Epic Fight: supplies supported guard animation patches
  • xFox: recognizes the xFox Collar as a bunny taming item
  • Companion mods: common ownership data and friendly-companion tags reduce attacks on allies sharing the same owner

⚙️ Optional Bunny Waste

Bunny Poop and Bunny Urine are disabled by default.

Command Result
/petrabbit urine true Enable Bunny Poop and Bunny Urine
/petrabbit urine false Disable Bunny Poop and Bunny Urine
