What does Nocturnal Bats add?

Nocturnal Bats

Changes bat spawn rules, enabling them to spawn on the surface at night:

  • Bats can now spawn at any altitude, including above ground.
  • Sky-light no longer prevents bat spawn.
  • Sky-light is less effective at preventing bat spawn than block-light.
  • Added all common surface blocks to #bats_spawnable_on.

Note

Although v1.1 is backward compatible with older version, it requires Java 21. Use v1.0 for compatibility with Java 17. Beside their compatibility range, they are functionally identical.
