About this project

What does The Almanac: Trades, Callings & Mastery add?

The Almanac: Trades, Callings & Mastery gives every trade in your world a real path from Novice to Grandmaster. Mine, smith, cook, farm, hunt, fish, forage, brew, tailor, build, and more. Twenty-one domains in all. You rank up by doing the work, and the day's practice settles into your hands when you rest. There are no XP bars to grind and no numbers to farm. Do good work and you get better at it.
Every rank is felt, not just counted:

- Bonuses that fit the trade. A mason dresses stone with less waste. A smith's edge finds the gaps in armour. A hunter reads a blood trail a novice would miss.
- Maker's marks on the things you make, so a masterwork carries your name.
- Signature abilities at the top of a trade that only a Grandmaster can perform.

Progression rewards depth. Early on, spreading across techniques carries you. Later, the trade rewards the one who commits and goes deep. Grandmaster is scarce by design.

Two domains extend other mods when they are loaded:

- Glassmaking works with the glassmaking fork.
- Arcana re-roots Rustbound Magic. Your mana pool and your spell mastery become an earned Almanac progression instead of a casting grind. School familiarity, meditation, scroll inscription, and Spellforge research all count.

Everything degrades gracefully. A missing mod that a domain extends only means that domain sits quiet. The rest keeps working.

Part of The Almanac line. More and better description to come.

Hard requirements: The Almanac: Illuminated (0.1.2 or newer) and Smithing Plus (1.9.0 or newer).
